Britney Spears’ biopic isn’t ready for casting. Coachella is fast approaching. Real Housewives drama and updates. Listen for MORE HOLLYWOOD UPDATES!

In casting news….actually, in this case, there’s NO casting news yet for the Britney Spears biopic. There are rumors that Millie Bobby Brown, Sabrina Carpenter and Ariana Grande are all battling for the lead role, but director Jon M. Chu wanted to make this as clear as he possibly can, posting, “None of this is true. Sounds exciting but have not had one conversation about casting this movie yet. We are way too early in development. Sorry.”
But in other casting news, production on Season 21 of Project Runway has begun, with Heidi Klum back as host and judge of the show she created, alongside Nina Garcia, who’s been a judge since Day One, Season One. Joining them are stylist Law Roach, who is most famous for styling Zendaya, but has also worked with Zendaya’s fiancé Tom Holland, Celine Dion, Anne Hathaway and Ariana Grande, among others. And Christian Siriano, who won Season 4 of Project Runway, is back as mentor. No word on Tim Gunn’s involvement, but there’s no way he won’t pop up at some point during the 10-episode run, which will premiere sometime at some point later this year on FreeForm, and also be available to stream shortly after on Disney+ and Hulu.

Coachella is coming up pretty quick — it’s happening the weekends of April 11 and 18. Lady Gaga is headlining both Friday nights. If you remember back in 2017, she had to step in to headline when Beyoncé dropped out because she was pregnant with twins. Green Day and Post Malone will also headline, with Travis Scott doing what they call a “design the desert” immersive experience rather than taking a traditional headliner slot. He also performed in 2017 and was SUPPOSED to headline in 2020, but COVID. However, one artist has canceled her appearance this year. Anitta made the announcement on X, saying she was forced to pull out of the festival due to “unexpected personal reasons.” This would’ve been Anitta’s third Coachella appearance. She performed in 2022 and 2024.

We’re just finding out that the FCC received 125 complaints about Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Halftime performance. The majority felt it wasn’t a family-friendly experience, thanks to Kendrick’s potty mouth. At least 10 of the complainants were specifically upset that Kendrick used the opportunity to go after Drake. For comparison’s sake, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira’s Halftime performance in 2020 received over 1300 complaints. By the way, we’re less than 10 months away from Super Bowl LX, and NBCUniversal is already suggesting that a :30 commercial slot will run about $7M, which is down a million from this year.

Real Housewives Update – Teresa Giudice and her husband, Luis Ruelas, are facing over $3M. According to court documents, she owes over $303K and he owes almost $2.6M. On top of that, Luis had a separate $163K tax lien filed against him late last year that is still unresolved. On top of their tax troubles, Luis recently requested an extension on a $1M loan he took out in March 2024, then took out another $250K loan, both of which come due next year. This isn’t Teresa’s first financial scandal. Over 15 years ago, Teresa signed something her husband Juicy Joe Giudice shoved in front of her that to 11 months in prison for her and 41 months in prison for him, followed by their divorce and his deportation.
In other Real Housewives news, Garcelle Beauvais announced she’s leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after 5 seasons so she can focus on her sons’ final year in high school and her movie and TV projects. And from The Real Housewives of Miami, Alexia Nepola was hoping to save her marriage, but after 2 years of marriage and almost a year after he filed, she and Todd are officially divorced.

From RHOA, the names Kenya Moore, NeNe Leakes and Eva Marcille are being tossed around, as well as Mary Crosby from Salt Lake City.
