In less than 6 weeks, Inside Out 2 has already become the highest-grossing animated movie of all time. How did this happen so quickly??? But as of now, this sequel has earned $1.462B globally, beating out the previous record holder — which also happens to be another sequel — Frozen 2, which sits at $1.451B. That’s an $11M difference, which will only continue to grow. Sitting third on the list of the highest-grossing animated movies of all time is The Super Mario Brothers Movie with $1.3B, followed by the original Frozen at $1.29B. Rounding out the top five is Incredibles 2 with $1.242B.

ESPN Films has released the trailer for the upcoming documentary Dude Perfect: A Very Long Shot, which premieres August 3 on ESPN and ESPN+. This documentary follows a group of college buddies who lived in a rental house while they went to Texas A&M, and then started filming themselves doing trick shots all around College Station. On April 9, 2009, they posted their first YouTube video and within one week, it got over 200K views and a mention on Good Morning America. Fast forward 15 years, and Dude Perfect has over 60M subscribers to their original Youtube channel, with tens of billions of views. They’re basically a cultural phenomenon with a massive media following, a live tour, and ambitious dreams of opening their own Dude Perfect amusement park.

A second lawsuit has been filed against Chris Brown over a backstage brawl in Fort Worth last Friday. In the original lawsuit, four men claim they were invited backstage to hang out after the show and things went fine, until one of the men in Chris’ entourage reminded Chris he had a beef with one of them and allegedly ordered his crew to to beat them all up. They’re seeking $50M in damages. Now a security guard working the event has filed a lawsuit, and he’s backing up the original lawsuit’s claims. Frederick Overpack is a 58-year-old father who works 2 jobs to make ends meet. He was working Chris’ backstage meet-and-greet, which basically turned into what he described as a “prison yard beat down.” Overpack claims that when he tried to break up one of the fights, Chris’ crew started punching and kicking him, leaving him with a cracked vertebrae in his neck and a severely injured hip. He’s asking for at least $15M in damages.

Bad news for the NFL! Taylor Swift won’t make it to every Kansas City Chiefs game this season. There are a couple pre-season games she’ll miss — who cares — but THREE regular season games conflict with the Eras Tour schedule.

  • October 20th: This is a big one for the Chiefs. It’s a Super Bowl rematch against the 49ers in San Francisco. The world will be watching, but Taylor won’t…..She’ll be in Miami.
  • October 27th: The Chiefs head to Vegas to take on the Raiders, but Taylor will be in New Orleans.
  • December 8th: It’s Sunday Night Football at Arrowhead Stadium, with the Chiefs hosting the Chargers, but Taylor will be playing Vancouver.

Meantime, congratulations to Taylor’s best friend since the first day of 9th grade, Abigail Anderson Berard. She and her husband Charlie are expecting their first baby, and based on the blue heart emoji, it’s a boy!
