Initially, The Marvels was expected to open with about $80M, but those expectations got readjusted down to around $65M. Maybe if the actors strike ended earlier, the stars of the movie could’ve gotten everyone more hyped up about seeing it. But even with a last-minute push by Brie Larson on The Tonight Show Friday, The Marvels earned only $47M — the lowest opening ever for Disney’s MCU. Worldwide, it earned $110M, which is about $30M less than expected. Five Nights at Freddy’s came in second with $9M, followed by Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour in third with another $5.9M. Priscilla was in fourth with $4.7M, with Killers of the Flower Moon in fifth with $4.6M.

*NSYNC will attempt to do some last-minute press before Trolls Band Together hits theaters this Friday. All five are expected to attend a premiere on Wednesday in LA, including Justin Timberlake. This will be his first time doing press since Britney Spears aired their dirty laundry in her memoir. And people may notice Joey Fatone is looking a little different when he hits the red carpet. He got a fat removal procedure, which he’s more that happy to talk about because he’s getting paid for it. Joey got excess fat removed from his chin and tummy, and he also got hair plugs! Joey told People, “It’s crazy how many guys get work done. They don’t broadcast it because a lot of men are very shy or embarrassed about it, but there’s nothing to be embarrassed about! I’m never afraid to tell people about this stuff. Who cares?” Before the plugs, Joey said he used to spray his hair to make it look fuller and it was a pain in the butt. Joey said, “I’m not trying to change my look. I’m not to trying to change who I am. I’m just trying to just edit it a little.” You can see Joey’s before and after picture’s on People’s website.

Pretty much all of Hollywood showed up for Leonardo DiCaprio’s 49th birthday party Saturday night, which was held at a private home in Beverly Hills. Just imagine what his 50th will be like! Leo managed to get in and out of his party without being photographed, but among just SOME of the celebrities who were spotted were Lil Wayne — who performed for Leo’s guests — Kim Kardashian, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Salma Hayek, Snoop Dogg, Zoe Saldaña, Al Pacino, 2 Chainz, Tyga, newly engaged Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz, Beck, Tobey Maguire, Casey Affleck…even Kris Jenner’s boyfriend Corey Gamble made the list, which was strictly enforced. Things got REAL awkward when Leo’s ex-girlfriend Victoria Lama was denied entry. Maybe it’s because Leo’s current girlfriend, 25-year-old model Vittoria Ceretti put her on the ix-nay list. But that has the most tongues wagging was the paparazzi photos of Olivia Wilde leaving the party with Chris Rock.

Grammy nominations were announced Friday morning, and this is the year of the woman! SZA leads with nine nominations, followed by Phoebe Bridgers with seven, and six of those are with her supergroup boygenius. Also tied with boygenius’ six nominations are Brandy Clark, Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Jack Antonoff, Jon Batiste and Taylor Swift. Taylor could set a record for most Album of the Year wins if Midnights pulls it off this year. She currently has three wins in that category, which ties her with Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, and Paul Simon. One of the biggest Grammy snubs is Morgan Wallen, who has never received a Grammy nomination. His third studio album, One Thing at a Time topped Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart for 28 weeks, but he didn’t even earn a Best Country Album nomination. And as far as his single Last Night, that DID earn a nomination for Best Country Song, but that award goes to the songwriters and Morgan wasn’t one of the writers. The 66th Grammy Awards will be held Feb. 4 on CBS.

Travis Kelce took a private jet into Argentina on Friday and fans caught video of him, Taylor Swift and her dad Scott having dinner at some nice restaurant in Buenos Aires. The next night, Travis was in the VIP tent at Taylor’s concert, dancing alongside Mr. Swift, who was rocking a Kansas City Chiefs lanyard. There are tons of videos of Taylor during the show, making eye contact with Travis while singing Lover and again during her surprise acoustic performance of End Game, which is filled with sports metaphors. But the biggest moment of the show was during her final song, Karma. Instead of the usual lyric, “Karma is the guy on the screen,” Taylor changed it to “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me.” EVERYONE went wild … Travis, Taylor’s dad, Taylor’s dancers, Taylor’s audience, AND the internet. After the show, someone got video of Taylor running into Travis’ arms, wrapping her arms around his neck and giving him a great big kiss. The next day, Travis took the private jet back to Kansas City so he could make it to Monday practice.
