Moving to California used to be the dream. But now celebrities like Elon Musk, Joe Rogan, Matt Damon, and James Van Der Beek are leaving the Golden State, where liberal policies have not only led to unsafer cities, but have also increased taxes. To give his kids a better life and to get away from those high taxes, Mark Wahlberg put his $90M Beverly Hills mansion on the market, packed up his family and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, which has no state income tax. Mark has big dreams for his new home state. Basically, he sees Vegas as Hollywood 2.0! Mark is lobbying Nevada lawmakers to pass “The Film Bill,” which would increase tax credits for film production from $10M/year to $190M/year over the next 20 years. Mark is putting his money where his mouth is too. He’s already filmed one movie in the Vegas area and he plans to shoot another one there this summer. He told a couple news outlets that he would love to build movie studios and create 10K jobs jobs, with the average salary $100K more than what it is now. In addition to building a movie studio, Mark also wants to build a shoe factory and another factory for his Municipal clothing line. But Mark isn’t the only one trying to lure movie-makers away from California. Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson and Dennis Quaid are part of a campaign to bring more movie projects to Texas.

In 1891 Prince Edward VII — who went on to become the king of England — testified in a slander case against a card player accused of cheating at baccarat. In the 132 years since, no other member of the Royal Family has testified in a court case….until today. Prince Harry took the stand today in his lawsuit against the “Daily Mail.” He was supposed to be in court yesterday, but he stayed in California to celebrate his daughter Lilibet’s 2nd birthday. Apparently, the judge was not happy about Harry wasting the court’s time like that. But Harry did have a lot to say after being sworn in today. Among many things, Harry said that when he was 18, the first stories came out that his mother’s lover James Hewitt was his real father. Harry was afraid that if it was true, he’d be kicked out of the Royal Family. It wasn’t until he was 30 that Harry realized the timeline didn’t add up to make that possible. He also testified also was afraid of being kicked out of school after tabloids reported he was doing lots of drugs. And Harry testified that phone hackers hired by the tabloid caused so much turmoil that his girlfriend Chelsy Davy dumped him. And it wasn’t just Harry who was hacked. Hackers also targeted Princess Diana. Harry testified, “I’ve always heard people refer to my mother as paranoid, but she wasn’t. She was fearful of what was actually happening to her and now I know I was the same.” Harry is expected back on the stand tomorrow.

Lewis Capaldi has been very open about his struggles with Tourette’s, saying that if it gets worse, he’s willing to walk away from music. And yesterday, Lewis posted what he said was a difficult message that hurt him to type, but he’s taking the next three weeks off to “rest and recover.” He posted, in part, “I’m really sorry to say that I’m going to have to cancel all commitments from now until I play Glastonbury on June 24th…The last few months have been full on both mentally and physically. I haven’t been home properly since Christmas and at the moment I’m struggling to get to grips with it all. I need to take a moment to rest and recover, to be at my best and ready for Glastonbury and all of the other incredible shows coming up so that I’m able to continue doing what I love for a long time to come.” He feels bad because he knows people spent a lot of money on travel and hotels to see him on these now-canceled shows, but he hopes everyone understands. He concluded by saying, “I’m getting all the help and support I need from the incredible people around me who I’m so grateful for. I take none of this for granted and can’t wait to be back doing it again. All my love, Lewis x.”

In an interview with “New York” magazine, Drew Barrymore talked about her toxic relationship with her mother. As a child, Jaid Barrymore would take Drew to parties and nightclubs. At age 12, she went to rehab for alcohol and drug abuse. When she was 13, her mother had her committed to a mental health facility for a year and a half. And then at 14, Drew became emancipated from her parents. She told her interviewer that she had been jealous of her friends who managed to work through their mama traumas after their moms had died, saying, “All their moms are gone, and my mom’s not. And I’m like, ‘Well, I don’t have that luxury.’ But I cannot wait.” She went on to say, “I don’t want to live in a state where I wish someone to be gone sooner than they’re meant to be so I can grow. I actually want her to be happy and thrive and be healthy. But I have to (BLANKING) grow in spite of her being on this planet.” Later in the interview, Drew said she felt bad for saying all that….but then she got mad after reading people’s reactions to her wishing her mom was dead! Drew hopped on Instagram and fumed, “You know what? To all you tabloids out there, you have been (BLANKING) with my life since I was 13 years old. I have never said that I wish my mother was dead. How dare you put those words in my mouth. I have been vulnerable and tried to figure out a very difficult, painful relationship while admitting it is difficult to do while a parent is alive and that for those of us that who to figure that out in real time ‘cannot wait’ as in they cannot wait for the time. Not that the parent is dead. Don’t twist my words around or ever say that I wish my mother was dead. I have never said that. I never would. In fact, I go on to say that I wish that I never have to live in an existence where I would wish that on someone because that is sick.”

Taylor Swift’s fans are rejoicing for a couple of reasons. First, after a brief fling, she and the very controversial Matty Healy have broken up. One source told Page Six that it was never anything serious and that “she will not be writing albums about this one.” Another source told the Daily Mail that her ex Joe Alwyn felt “slighted” and was “distraught” that Taylor moved on so quickly, but now he doesn’t have to worry about Matty anymore. Perhaps to distract from the breakup news, Taylor unveiled the track list of her upcoming “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” album, coming out July 7. In addition to re-recording the original 14 songs on the album, she’s releasing vault tracks with Hayley Williams of Paramore and Fall Out Boy! Taylor explained, “I decided to go to the artists who I feel influenced me most powerfully as a lyricist at that time and ask them to sing on the album. They’re so cool and generous for agreeing to support my version of Speak Now. I recorded this album when I was 32 (and still growing up, now) and can’t wait to unveil it all to you on July 7th.” The album will include 6 songs from the vault. Hayley is featured on “Castles Crumbling” and Fall Out Boy appears on “Electric Touch.” The other four titles are “When Emma Falls In Love,” “I Can See You,” “Foolish One,” and “Timeless.”
