Filming began about 3 weeks ago on the “She’s All That” reboot “He’s All That” starring TikTok star Addison Rae. In the original back in 1999, a then 19-year-old Rachael Leigh Cook starred as Laney Boggs — a lovable art nerd who gets a glam makeover. Freddie Prinze Jr. played Zackary Siler. He and his sister were responsible for Laney’s new look. It this updated version, roles are reversed, with Addison playing Padgett Sawyer, the female version of Freddie’s character. She’s a social media influencer who accepts a challenge to turn the school’s least popular boy into prom king. And Rachael Lee Cook is back, playing Addison’s mom, but it’s not the Laney Boggs character. “She’s All That” was a sleeper hit. It cost about $10M to make and earned over $103M. It ended up being the most financially successful movie of Rachael’s career. You’d be surprised how many young actors in “She’s All That” went on to have huge careers — Anna Paquin, Usher, Gabrielle Union, Paul Walker, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kieran Culkin, Lil Kim, Matthew Lillard……

After 9 years with the British girl group Little Mix, Jesy Nelson is walking away. She made the announcement on her social media yesterday, saying, “The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard. There comes a time in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves rather than focussing on making other people happy, and I feel like now is the time to begin that process.” Jesy has talked openly about her struggles with cyberbullying. It got so bad several years ago, she developed an eating disorder and tried to kill herself. Little Mix released a statement on its Instagram yesterday saying they love Jesy very much and fully support her decision, but Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne will continue their journey without her.

Dakota Johnson has people thinking she’s engaged after flashing a massive emerald ring on THAT finger. She was out shopping in West Hollywood holding LOTS of things with her left hand for the paparazzi to see. I don’t blame her. Dakota and Chris Martin have been dating since 2018, broke up briefly in June of last year, but then got back together. No confirmation from either of their reps that this is, indeed, an engagement ring.

Zayn Malik is back in the studio, possibly working on a third album. He posted a cryptic video on his IG Stories showing a sound board lighting up while soothing music played in the background. Zayn’s last album, “Icarus Falls,” came out in 2018.

Jimmy Kimmel asked Taylor Swift about rumors of a third album, and she shot them down. As far as “woodvale” scribbled among the branches on her “folklore” album, Taylor said that was a mistake. She said that when she was making the album, she was afraid to release the title to anyone, so she came up with the fake code name “woodvale” which had the same amount of letters as “folklore” and then had a mock-up of what the album artwork would look like. Taylor said, “Then (I) decided I don’t actually want to have a title on the album covers. And we forgot to take the fake code name off of one of them.” Seriously? Taylor says it’s true. She said “evermore” had a code name, too. “It was November. We remembered to take it off the mock-ups of the album covers before we released it this time. We learned our lesson!”
