We’ve all heard someone say, “Don’t drink the Kool-Aid!” or “They drank the Kool-Aid!” But do you know where that phrase started? Back in the 70s, Jim Jones launched a church in San Francisco called the People’s Temple. But it quickly turned into a cult and in 1974, Jim Jones convinced his followers to move to Guyana and he created his own community that he named after himself — Jonestown. In 1978, he commanded all of his followers to drink Kool-Aid that had been mixed with poison and more than 900 people died. Of course, there is MUCH more to the story, which has been featured in documentaries and film. But now, a new movie about the Jonestown Tragedy is being made. It’s a psychological thriller called “White Night,” and Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been cast as Jim Jones. Chloe Grace Moretz will star as one of leaders of the People’s Temple who realized the truth about Jim Jones and helped expose him. But “White Night” isn’t the only Jonestown project in development. Leonardo DiCaprio has also signed on to play Jim Jones in a different film.

The “Wall Street Journal” is a respected newspaper. But just like the rest of us, they love some celebrity gossip. So while Hailey Bieber is being interviewed about running her own skincare line, Rhode, of course they had to ask her the real question on everyone’s mind, “When are you and Justin having a baby??” As if it’s truly our business, Hailey politely responded, “I think ideally in the next couple of years we would try. But there’s a reason they call it try, right? You don’t know how long that process is ever going to take. Definitely no kids this year; that would be a little bit hectic, I think.” Hailey went on to say, “There’s this thing that happens for women when you get married. Everybody always assumes it’s: First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby. Well, what about all the things I want to accomplish in my business? I think I had it ingrained in my head that I was going to want to have kids right away and I was going to want to have kids super, super young. Then I turned 25 and I’m like, I’m still super, super young!” She also told the WSJ that she will no longer talk about her marriage in interviews. She said, “It doesn’t feel worth it to me anymore when I try to have an open conversation with someone like you and then it gets taken out of context. The media loves to take a tiny little blurb of something for clickbait. The media has always been a disgusting thing.”

David Beckham was a guest on a podcast called River Cafe Table 4 and said that his wife Victoria Beckham has basically eaten the same thing every day for 25 years. David said, “Since I met her, she only eats grilled fish, steamed vegetables, she will very rarely deviate from that.” Unlike other wives, David said Victoria NEVER sneaks something off his plate, with only one exception. He said, “The only time she’s probably ever shared something that’s been on my plate was actually when she was pregnant with Harper and it was the most amazing thing. It was one of my favorite evenings. I can’t remember what it was but I know she’s not eaten it since.” In the past, Victoria has said she never eats food cooked in oil, butter or sauces, and she never eats red meat or dairy. For comfort food, she enjoys a piece of whole grain toast with little salt on it. And on her birthday she indulges with a little bit of cake made from fruit!

Britney Spears is back from Hawaii, rested up and ready to work! She posted a couple photos of her and her attorney Mathew Rosengart meeting for lunch yesterday, captioning them, ““This man has turned my life around … So many exciting projects ahead !!!! We accidentally matched for lunch !!!! Thank you for being so kind and respectful to me always 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹!!!!!! Pssss Mathew Rosengart … I simply adore you !!!!” Six rose emojis?? More evidence that Mathew ROSEngart WAS Project Rose!

Ana may take a radio sabbatical to go back to school – or actually, she could probably teach this course herself. NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music is now offering a course about Taylor Swift! It’s being taught by a writer from “Rolling Stone.” The course description says, “This course proposes to deconstruct both the appeal and aversions to Taylor Swift through close readings of her music and public discourse as it relates to her own growth as an artist and a celebrity. The class delves into analyses of the culture and politics of teen girlhood in pop music, fandom, media studies, whiteness, and power as it relates to her image and the images of those who have both preceded and succeeded her.” Taylor Swift expert Taylor Swift has been invited to speak to the class, but no word yet on whether she has accepted.
