‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ grossed $110 million… The nominations for the CMA Awards… Toronto Film Festival happenings… Kendrick Lamar performing at the Super Bowl… and Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce’s whirlwind N.Y.C. weekend

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice met expectations, opening with $110M at the US box office, and $145.4M globally. The movie cost $100M to make before promotion costs, and needs to earn at least $250M to be considered a success. Deadpool & Wolverine placed second in its seventh weekend, taking in another $7.2M. Climbing to third in its second weekend was Reagan, with another $5.2M. Alien: Romulus was fourth with $3.9M, followed by It Ends With Us with $3.8M.

The 58th Annual CMA Awards will be held live from Nashville on Wednesday, Nov. 20. We don’t know who will be hosting yet, but the nominees were announced this morning. Morgan Wallen leads with seven, followed by Cody Johnson and Chris Stapleton with five. Post Malone and Lainey Wilson each have four nominations. Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen and Lainey Wilson will battle it out for the night’s biggest honor — Entertainer of the Year. Tickets for the CMAs go on sale this Friday through Ticketmaster.

Jennifer Lopez dressed for revenge when she showed up for the premiere of her new movie Unstoppable at the Toronto International Film Festival. This is her first red carpet since filing for divorce from Ben Affleck, who produced the movie. Ben was a no-show for the premiere, but his producing partner Matt Damon was there. Jennifer broke the ice by sitting down with Matt and his wife Luciana at an outdoor table. Jennifer and Matt then found a quiet corner where they held hands and talked for about 20 minutes.

Back in 2019, Jay-Z started his partnership with the NFL to produce their Super Bowl Halftime Show. First up in 2020, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, followed by The Weeknd in 2021; Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar in 2022; Rihanna in 2023; and Usher in 2024. It was just announced yesterday that Kendrick Lamar will be back to headline the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show, live from New Orleans. It’s been a crazy year for Kendrick, who got into this back-and-forth rap beef with Drake which ended with Kendrick’s Not Like Us. Is this Jay-Z’s way of showing Drake whose side he’s on?

On Thursday morning, The Athletic revealed a source had been briefed about security arrangements at Arrowhead Stadium for the impending arrival of Taylor Swift, who would be there to watch her man and the rest take on the Ravens. A source told Page Six that Taylor’s team was furious about this leak because “after Austria, her security firm is not too happy that her whereabouts are out.” But was there anyone on the planet who thought Taylor WOULDN’T be at Travis Kelce’s home opener?? After celebrating the Chiefs’ win at a local bar that night, Travis and Taylor hopped on her private plane and headed straight to NYC. On Saturday, they attended the wedding of model Karen Elson and Electric Lady Studios owner Lee Foster. On Sunday, Travis and Taylor hit up the men’s finals at the US Open, where they kissed and cuddled and sang along to I Believe In This Thing Called Love by The Darkness like nobody was watching…..
