The only review we care about is the one Grae Drake will give us on Friday, but for now….reviews are starting to trickle in for “Avatar: The Way of Water.” On RottenTomatoes.com, 142 reviewers have given it an 84% positive rating, which is great. But, a lot of critics have a problem with the running time of 3 hours and 12 minutes. As far as the plot, critics are asking, “What plot?” As far as the dialogue, the word “atrocious” was used by one. You’ll get to see for yourself starting Friday. “Avatar: The Way of Water” is projected to debut at the US box off somewhere between $150M-$175M.

SPOILER ALERT! Blake Shelton had three finalists going into “The Voice” finale, so his odds of winning were pretty darned good. And it was Team Blake’s Bryce Leatherwood – the 22-year-old country singer from Woodstock, Georgia — who won Season 22 of “The Voice,” giving Blake his 9th win. Bodie and Morgan Myles were the runner ups, with Omar Jose Cardona finishing fourth and Brayden Lape in fifth. Will Blake end up with another win for his final season? He announced back in October that he’ll be leaving “The Voice” after Season 23.

There’s that old saying, “A captain goes down with the ship,” but not on “Below Deck.” Captain Lee Rosbach says this is one of the most humbling experiences of his life, but his health is forcing him to leave Season 10 early. Captain Lee was struggling with nerve issues at the start of the season and thought his symptoms would get better with time. But in his confessional, he said, “My injury, it’s getting worse. The left side of my body, I don’t feel anything…I expected a lot more progress than I’m experiencing, and the most frustrating part about it is, I can’t do a (BLANK) thing about it, and it’s hard…There comes a point if a captain is really being objective, he should be putting the best interests of his crew first because that’s your primary responsibility. As soon as you step on board, check your (BLANKING) ego at the dock. That’s where you leave it.”

Just to be on the safe side, there were 300 police officers and soldiers and emergency workers standing by if things got out of hand. But only a couple dozen or so well-behaved fans showed up to wave goodbye to BTS’ oldest member Jin, who showed up for his first day of boot camp in South Korea yesterday. South Korea requires all of its young men to serve a mandatory 18 months in the military by the time they turn 30, and Jin hit that milestone earlier this month. The six remaining members of BTS will be joining in the years ahead, and the group will remain on hiatus until the last of them is done, which will probably be around 2025. Jin will go through 5 months of basic military training which involves shooting rifles, throwing grenades, and marching….lots of marching. Then he’ll be assigned to an army unit somewhere in South Korea to complete his service.

Megan Thee Stallion took to the stand yesterday in the trial against Tory Lanez, who is accused of shooting her two and a half years ago after a party at Kylie Jenner‘s home. Tory is facing three felony charges and looking at over 20 years in prison. On the stand, Megan was very emotional when she described what happened to her. She testified that her former best friend Kelsey Nicole Harris and Troy started fighting while in the car, which prompted her to get out. Megan said that as she began to walk away, she heard Troy say, “Dance, b****!” and began shooting at her feet. She also testified that as they heard sirens approaching, Troy offered her a million dollars if she didn’t say anything because he was on probation, and she remembers thinking about how he was more concerned with going back to jail than shooting her. Meghan admits that she did lie to police at the scene, saying she’d stepped on broken glass. She said she did it because this all happened less than 2 months after George Floyd was killed and she was scared of the police. Since then, Meghan has had to deal with so much hate and cruelty online that she testified, “I wish he would’ve shot and killed me if I knew I had to go through this torture.”
