Ryan Phillippe will be all be propped up in bed watching the season two premiere of his USA Network show “Shooter” tonight. Ryan was out with his family on Sunday when he says he suffered a freak accident that broke his leg so badly he needed surgery. They’re in the middle of filming the ninth episode of the ten-part season, but the show will go on despite Ryan’s injury. They’re adjusting the production schedule but they promise to deliver the full season on schedule.
More than anything else, Mariah Carey loves Mariah Carey. And now she wants us to understand how she came to love herself as much as she does because Mariah is serving as the executive producer of her life story, which will air on the Starz network. The story is set in 1986 New York. It’s about an ambitious bi-racial teenage girl from a troubled family who goes on to become one of the biggest pop stars in the world. Other producers include Mariah’s close friend Brett Ratner and her manager Stella Bulochnikov, whom we can blame for “Mariah’s World” on E!
Without explanation, Ed Sheeran deleted his Twitter account yesterday, but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why. The night before, Ed appeared in the season premiere of “Game of Thrones” and the internet trolls came out in full force. His Instagram is still up, though! While trolls are dragging him on Twitter, Ed wants us all to see how happy he is climbing mountains in Peru with his girlfriend, Cherry Seaborn.
In celebrity baby news, Jessica Alba announced yesterday she’s expecting her third child with hubby Cash Warren. Daughters Honor and Haven are now 9 and 5. And Mindy Kaling is pregnant with her first baby. A source says this was “an unexpected surprise.” No word on who the father might be.
Yesterday a reporter out of Chicago published an article on BuzzFeed claiming that R. Kelly is holding young women against their will in a sex cult. His attorney released a statement saying that R. Kelly is “both alarmed and disturbed” by the accusations, all of which they deny, and that they “will work diligently and forcibly to pursue his accusers and clear his name.” Meantime, a young woman whose parents claim R. Kelly is holding her against her will told TMZ that she’s not being held captive, she’s not brainwashed, and she’s in a happy place.
