If you’ve been looking forward to seeing Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg go at it in the ring, for a minute there, it looked like it might not happen. About a week ago, Elon posted that he’d been lifting weights throughout the day to prepare for the fight, even bringing them to work with him. Mark responded, “I’m ready today. I suggested Aug 26 when he first challenged, but he hasn’t confirmed. Not holding my breath.” When someone commented that maybe nobody noticed because Zuck had posted it on Threads, Elon responded with a crying laughing emoji. Then he posted, “Exact date is still in flux. I’m getting an MRI of my neck & upper back tomorrow. May require surgery before the fight can happen. Will know this week.” I guess the results were good based on what’s being posted now. So yesterday, UFC president Dana White said he spoke to Italy’s culture minister about staging this fight at the Colosseum in Rome. This morning, Elon posted, “The fight will be managed by my and Zuck’s foundations (not UFC). Livestream will be on this platform and Meta. Everything in camera frame will be ancient Rome, so nothing modern at all. I spoke to the PM of Italy and Minister of Culture. They have agreed on an epic location. Everything done will pay respect to the past and present of Italy. And all proceeds go to veterans.”

Angela Mercer lives in Albany, NY, and was lucky enough to get tickets to see Pink at Fenway Park in Boston on July 31. Angela did the math and knew she’d be 31 weeks pregnant at the time of the concert, which was well ahead of her due date. So Angela wasn’t worried one bit when she and her family made the 3 hour trip to see her favorite artist. But then it happened. Angela started having contractions during the concert. She was in early labor. In a panic, she called her doctor, who told her to get to the closest hospital, but with all the traffic surrounding Fenway, she couldn’t find a ride! That’s when she and her family decided the fastest way to get to the closest hospital would be to walk, so that’s what they did! Angela delivered her baby boy in Boston, and named him Aycn Hart — after her husband Ace and her favorite artist, Mrs. Carey Hart, aka Pink.

Hayley Williams has been struggling with an ongoing lung infection that’s forced Paramore to cancel the remaining shows in their “This Is Why” tour. Her lung infection has forced them to postpone 4 shows already, and she was hoping that taking a week off would give her lungs enough time to heal. She was wrong. So after Wednesday’s show in Seattle — which had been rescheduled from late July due to Hayley’s illness — she shared on her Instagram stories, “After struggling through the last few shows and consulting with my doctor, we’re unfortunately realizing that it’s past the point of wanting to push through to put on a good show for all of you. I’m now risking long term damage and I need to pay attention to my body. With that in mind and with a heavy heart, we have to cancel our remaining shows in both Portland and Salt Lake City…We are so sorry to all of you who were so patient with us as we rescheduled these and likely rearranged travel plans to still come out, I physically can not go on….” So these shows will NOT be rescheduled, so everyone is getting refunds. Ana will get to see Paramore open for Taylor Swift next July in Ireland. Paramore will open all 48 dates of the European leg of her tour, which kicks off May 9 in Paris and wraps up Aug. 17 in London.

At least 55 people have died in Maui since the fires broke out Tuesday. More than 1300 people have been displaced and nearly 11K are without power this morning. Downtown Lahaina is completely gone. It’s just a tragic situation. Authorities said the fires were moving so fast, there wasn’t time to use the island’s emergency sirens, so people only figured out what was happening when they saw the fire coming or heard explosions. Some people had to run into the ocean to avoid the flames! TMZ checked on Kevin Federline’s family. He moved to Hawaii just two weeks ago, taking his sons with Britney Spears with him. But they aren’t on one of the islands affected by the fires. Oprah Winfrey — who is one of the largest private landholders in Maui — visited with victims at an emergency shelter, promising to buy supplies for all of them. Floyd Mayweather reportedly paid for 68 families to fly from Maui to Honolulu over the past couple days. He’s also covering the cost for them to stay in hotel rooms for the next several weeks, providing meals at local restaurants, and giving them clothing because many fled with only the clothes on their backs. Jason Momoa is a native Hawaiian and one of many celebrities providing links for people who want to help. If you go to @MauiRapidResponse on Instagram, they have posted their top 3 reputable, verified donation funds.

The good new is, Lil Tay is alive. She released a statement to TMZ yesterday saying, “I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I’m completely heartbroken, and struggling to even find the right words to say. It’s been a very traumatizing 24 hours. All day yesterday, I was bombarded with endless heartbreaking and tearful phone calls from loved ones all while trying to sort out this mess.” Tay claims her Instagram was hacked “by a 3rd party” who used it “to spread jarring misinformation and rumors.” She said they even spelled her name wrong. She said, “My legal name is Tay Tian, not ‘Claire Hope.’” But Tay’s former manager Harry Tsang is looking at all this with a side eye. He told the “Daily Mail” that while he’s relieved Lil Tay is alive, he believes the hacking never happened.
