Suri’s “trust fund”… Eugenio Derbez’s comments criticizing Selena Gomez… Breckie Hill denies hooking up with Barry Keoghan… Jay-Z has been accused… and LAST NIGHT of The Eras Tour

 

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes divorced in 2012. From what we have gathered, the last time Tom saw their daughter Suri was in 2013, when she was only 7 years old. Last week the Daily Mail reported that a portion of the trust fund Tom set up for Suri kicked in on her 18th birthday back in April, and Katie decided not to let that one slide. She posted a screenshot of the Daily Mail article with the headline “Suri Cruise the millionaire! Tom Cruise’s trust fund has ‘kicked in’ and mom Katie Holmes has one for her, too.” Katie captioned it, “Completely false. Daily Mail you can stop making stuff up. Enough.”

Selena Gomez speaks both Spanish and English in her latest film, Emilia Pérez, which really bothered Mexican-born actor Eugenio Derbez. On a since-deleted episode of the Hablando de Cine podcast, Eugenio said (in Spanish, translated to English), “Selena is indefensible.” He said he watched the movie with other people, and every time Selena had a scene, they would look at each other and say, “Wow, what is this??” The host piled on, saying while she commended Selena’s efforts, “Spanish is not her main language, not her secondary or fifth. I feel like she doesn’t know what she’s saying. If she doesn’t know what she’s saying, she can’t give her acting any nuance.” Selena wrote in the comments section of a podcast clip that had been reposted on TikTok, “I understand where you are coming from..I’m sorry I did the best I could with the time I was given. Doesn’t take away from how much work and heart I put into this movie.” Eugenio then posted to Selena, “I truly apologize for my careless comments — they are indefensible and go against everything I stand for. As Latinos, we should always support one another. There’s no excuse. I was wrong, and I deeply admire your career and your kind heart. Emilia Pérez deserves to be celebrated, not diminished by my thoughtless remarks. I’m walking away from this with an important lesson learned.”

TikToker Breckie Hill said she only reposted videos insinuating she was the one with Barry Keoghan while he was still dating Sabrina Carpenter because she thought it was “so ridiculous.” In a video captioned, “Addressing everything,” Breckie explained, “To put it simply for you all, no, I did not get with Barry. I have never even encountered this man in my life. The only time I’ve seen him is on my TV screen from watching Saltburn.” She added, “I’m sorry but if I really was the one getting with Barry, why in the world would I be reposting about it? … Coming from someone who has been cheated on … I would never want to homewreck any relationship or put any girl through that pain — ever.” And saying her margarita was too salty had nothing to do with a Saltburn reference. She said her margarita was literally too salty. And to gain more sympathy, Breckie said she reposted the videos while lying in a hospital bed recovering from a broken spine. Meantime, after shutting down his Instagram, Barry went on X to say enough is enough. He wrote, “I can only sit and take so much….I have to respond now because it’s gettin to a place where there are too many lines being crossed.” He said the messages he’s received have included “absolute lies, hatred, disgusting commentary about my appearance, character, how I am as a parent and every other inhumane thing you can imagine.” He’s especially upset that people have been knocking on his grannie’s door and sitting outside his son’s house, intimidating him and his mother. Barry shares 2-year-old Brando with his ex Alyson Sandro.

Jay-Z is being dragged into the Diddy allegations, and he’s not going to stand for it. Attorney Tony Buzbee has been privately reaching out to A-listers accused of taking part in Diddy’s freak-offs and other sexual assaults, basically telling them if they don’t pay up, their names will be exposed. Yesterday, Buzbee refiled a civil lawsuit and named Jay-Z as the A-lister who joined Diddy in the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl after the 2000 MTV VMAs. In a long statement, Jay-Z responded, “My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee. What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!! These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case. I have no idea how you have come to be such a deplorable human Mr. Buzbee, but I promise you I have seen your kind many times over. I’m more than prepared to deal with your type.” Jay-Z went on to say his only heartbreak is for his wife Beyoncé and their three children, 12-year-old Blue Ivy and 7-year-old twins Rumi and Sir. He wrote, “My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure such at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit.”

It all started on March 17, 2023, in Glendale, Arizona. Five continents, 51 cities, and 149 performances later, The Eras Tour ended last night in Vancouver, Canada. Everyone was wondering what surprise performers Taylor Swift would invite onstage, but SURPRISE! She kept it pure and simple — just Taylor, her dancers and her band. At every show, Taylor surprised the audience with her acoustic choices. Before she began, Taylor said, “Welcome to the very last acoustic section of The Eras Tour. I was thinking about it, because we’ve had so long to prepare for the end of this tour, I was trying to think about what songs really encapsulate how I feel about how I feel so I decided to go back to the beginning.” Taylor then launched into Only Place in the World from her first album and mixed in New Romantics from 1989 (Taylor’s Version). Then she walked over to the piano where she played Long Live from Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) into New Year’s Day from Reputation and The Manuscript from The Tortured Poets Department. By the way, the very first piano song on The Eras Tour was her first track, Tim McGraw, of her first album, and the final piano song was the final track, The Manuscript, of her final album.
