Weekend box office news… Celebrity weddings… Drake and Karreuche Tran get cozy… Sean Penn and Madonna dating rumors… and Lamar Odom is slowly making progress
Jack Black’s new movie “Goosebumps” was number one at the box office this weekend, debuting with $23.5 million in ticket sales. “The Martian” slipped to second with $21.5 million. Steven Spielberg’s “Bridge of Spies” starring Tom Hanks opened in third with $15.4 million.
A couple of celebrity weddings over the weekend. After almost five years together and making a baby together last year, JWoww finally married Roger Mathews yesterday. Among the guests were Snooki and Pauly D, as well as Trista and Ryan Sutter from “The Bachelorette.” And Bridget Moynahan quietly married businessman Andrew Frankel at a vineyard in the Hamptons on Saturday.
Drake may have slammed Karreuche Tran in his diss track against Chris Brown, but apparently they let bygones be bygones! Drake was out at the trendiest place to go in West Hollywood Friday night — Mr. Nice Guy — where he bumped into Karreuche. But there was no confrontation. In fact, people who were there say Drake and Karreuche got real cozy and chatted for a good bit.
What’s going on with Sean Penn and Madonna? Sean broke up with Charlize Theron in June, and he’s been seen at several of Madonna’s concerts since then. He even took his daughter, Dylan, to meet Madonna for the first time at her Madison Square Garden show. Sean met Madonna on the set of the “Material Girl” video back in 1985 and they were married just a few months later. They divorced three years later. But it looks like the spark is still there! RadarOnline.com is reporting that the two of them have shacking up together during her Rebel Hearts tour.
In a shocking turn of events, Lamar Odom is out of his coma, off life support and breathing on his own while wearing an oxygen mask. He’s reportedly spoken a few words and continues to show signs of improvement. Khloe Kardashian hasn’t left his side. She strokes his hand and constantly kisses his cheek. Kim Kardashian tweeted that she and Kendall Jenner got him to smile. Lamar still has a long road ahead of him. Doctors reportedly say his rehab will take several months and they still don’t know how much of the damage done is permanent. Meantime, the owner of the brothel where Lamar was found unconscious says a “shady” character claiming to be Lamar’s manager showed up just hours after Lamar was taken to the hospital and demanded all of his things. But a little later, another man came by claiming to be Lamar’s bodyguard and he said he had no idea who the first guy was. So who was the con man here?
