Drake will not be forced to testify… “Rust” named new cinematographer… Megan Fox & MGK get counseling… Kris Jenner sparks engagement rumors… and Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck’s ‘commitment’ tattoos

Drake’s lawyers are that good. He will not have to testify in the murder trial of rapper XXXTentacion, who was shot and killed in 2018. Three men are on trial for the murder. Their defense team argued that authorities had tunnel vision and never considered Drake as a possible suspect, even though he and X had a very public beef. The defense asked the judge to have Drake deposed and the judge initially agreed. But Drake’s lawyers fired back with a bunch of legal stuff and now Drake is off the hook.

Despite his pending criminal trial and the lawsuit filed by Halyna Hutchins’ parents and sister, Alec Baldwin is gathering the cast and crew together to pick up filming on the movie “Rust.” There will be some new faces added to the mix, but Joel Souza is back to direct. Bianca Cline is the new cinematographer, replacing Halyna who was killed while setting up a scene with Alec and his gun went off. He still says he didn’t pull the trigger. Joel released a statement saying, “Though bittersweet, I am grateful that a brilliant and dedicated new production team joining former cast and crew are committed to completing what Halyna and I started. My every effort on this film will be devoted to honoring Halyna’s legacy and making her proud. It is a privilege to see this through on her behalf.” We don’t know who the movie’s new armorer will be. Hannah Gutierrez-Reed will also be going on trial for her part in Halyna’s shooting death. But, when “Rust” starts filming agin, they will no longer be using working weapons and they’ve hired two new safety officers to supervise. When filming resumes on “Rust,” a documentary will be made about how they’re picking up the pieces after Halyna’s death, while also celebrating her life and work.

So, what is the relationship status of Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly today? Unclear. Over the weekend, Megan’s Instagram made it look pretty obvious that she caught him cheating on her. First she deleted all photos with MGK, then posted some stuff burning and captioned it with lyrics from a Beyonce song about cheating, then she deleted her IG altogether. Megan was supposed to spend Super Bowl weekend with MGK in Arizona, but she packed up and left and then refused to speak to him. But on Monday, the two of them were seen arriving separately at an office building in LA that houses several marriage and couples counseling specialists. After about two and a half hours, they left separately. On Valentine’s Day, Megan and MGK were photographed sitting together in a car, each of them looking very glum. While there’s been speculation that Megan caught MGK cheating with his guitarist Sophie Lloyd, yesterday Sophie posted a picture with her boyfriend of five years, drummer Christopher Painter. She captioned it, “Valentine” with a heart emoji.

Did Corey Gamble pop the question on Valentine’s Day? On her IG Stories, Kris Jenner posted a series of photos giving her Valentine some love, but the final photo was a shot of her left hand with a gigantic diamond on THAT finger. No comment on whether or not this means she’s engaged, but she certainly must want us to think she is. Kris and Corey have been together since meeting in Ibiza back in August 2014. If you’re unfamiliar, Corey is a talent manager and music producer who works with Scooter Braun.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez celebrated Valentine’s Day by showing off their couples tattoos. Hers is the infinity symbol with their names written on it and an arrow piercing through the center, and it’s now inked for infinity on her ribs. His is a set of crossed arrows with their initials J and B, and he placed them below his armpit, above his ribs. We’re not sure if this is Jennifer’s first tattoo, but it’s definitely not Ben’s first. In fact, he has a full back piece of a phoenix rising from the ashes. We saw it for the first time in 2015. Ben tried to claim it was a fake tattoo he got for a movie role, but it was very real. When “Vanity Fair” asked his ex-wife Jennifer Garner about it, she said, “A phoenix rising from the ashes. Am I the ashes in this scenario? I take umbrage. I refuse to be the ashes.” And Andy Cohen asked his then ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez about it in 2016, she laughed and said it was “awful,” adding, “I would tell him that! Like, what are you doing? It has too many colors. His tattoos always had too many colors. They shouldn’t be so colorful, you know what I mean? They should be cooler.”
