Shannen Doherty’s new podcast episodes… Tom Sandoval is suing Ariana Madix… Relationship roundup… Celebrity engagements… and Ingrid Andress says ‘I was drunk’

Shannen Doherty passed away on Saturday at the age of 53 after a long battle with cancer. But Shannen purposely kept busy, right up until the time of her passing. In fact, she recorded five episodes of The House of Halliwell podcast before she passed away. This is a Charmed rewatch podcast that started in 2022 with cast members Holly Marie Combs, Brian Krause, and Drew Fuller. The pod went on hiatus last October, but just a week ago, they announced they were rebooting with new co-host Shannen. The first episode dropped less than a week before she died, and the second just days after Shannen’s passing. The remaining episodes will air over the next several weeks.

Filming had wrapped on Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules when Ariana Madix found a naughty video of Rachel — fka Raquel Leviss — in her boyfriend Tom Sandoval’s phone, causing Bravo to fire the cameras back up and film the fallout. Rachel believes Tom and Ariana shared that video with others, so she sued them for revenge porn, eavesdropping, and invasion of privacy. Tom countersued Rachel, claiming her lawsuit was “a thinly veiled attempt to extend her fame and to rebrand herself as the victim.” A few days after that, Ariana filed her own countersuit against Rachel, claiming Rachel was trying to punish Ariana, blaming her for the negative reaction Rachel was getting because of the affair. And now Us Weekly is reporting that Tom is suing Ariana for going through his phone without his “authorization or permission” to gain access to Rachel’s naughty video, making copies of it and sending it out to Rachel and third parties. Ariana’s attorney responded, telling Us Weekly, “It is abhorrent that Tom Sandoval continues to torment Ms. Madix. From engaging in an illicit affair that shattered her home and stability, to months of emotional warfare and now this attempt to further shirk personal responsibility for the effects his actions have had on her and her emotional wellbeing. Tom Sandoval knows full well what sort of privileges he and Ms. Madix shared in regard to their personal communication devices. If he or his mistress had their way, it would be illegal for someone to discover their spouse or significant other was having an affair….Ms. Madix is confident that a jury will see through this latest ploy and dismiss his frivolous claims.”

In celebrity divorce news, he beat her to the courthouse, but Christina Haack and Joshua Hall have both filed for divorce after 2 years of marriage. Josh listed the date of separation as July 8, 2024, citing irreconcilable differences. They don’t have a prenup, so Josh is going for it. He wants the court to divvy up what they each brought into the marriage, but Josh is also asking for spousal support and the rights to any TV shows or specials they produced during their brief marriage, including next year’s The Flip Off, co-starring Christina’s first ex-husband Tarek el Moussa and his wife Heather. In other divorce news, when Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello broke up, she said it was because he wanted kids and she didn’t. Joe kept his mouth shut about that….until now. In an interview with Men’s Journal, Joe said, “There’s been a lot said in the press about me wanting a family. That’s simply not true.” Joe said at the very beginning of their relationship, he and Sofia talked about having kids and she was cool with it. In fact, Joe said they tried to conceive for the first year and a half of their marriage, but he assured her he would never leave if it didn’t happen. Joe said, “To be painted as if I had some sort of midlife crisis, and after nine years, turned to somebody and gave them an ultimatum of, ‘Do this potentially unhealthy thing to your body, or else I’m gone?’ That’s never who I was.”

In celebrity engagement news, Emma Roberts announced on her Instagram yesterday that she is engaged to actor Cody John. She posted, “Putting this here before my mom tells everyone.” Emma most likely posted that because earlier this year, her mom posted a photo of Emma’s 3-year-old son Rhodes without telling her. If you’re not familiar, Cody has appeared in Hulu’s Wu-Tang: An American Saga and The CW’s In the Dark. And congratulations MAY be in order for Halsey and Avan Jogia. The two of them spent HOURS in a NYC park yesterday, enjoying a little picnic while a paparazzi snapped away. They couldn’t have posed any harder. In several shots, Halsey was showing off what looked like an engagement ring.

After butchering the National Anthem and the MLB Home Run Derby Monday night, country artist Ingrid Andress was mocked mercilessly on social media. But Ingrid has an explanation. The next day she posted on X, “I’m not gonna bulls*** y’ll, I was drunk last night. I’m checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition. I’ll let y’all know how rehab is I hear it’s super fun. xo, Ingrid” Ingrid was supposed to perform in Nashville tonight, but that’s no longer listed on her website. In fact, there are only two dates posted: Aug. 3 in Minneapolis and Oct. 4 in Ocean City, Maryland.
