A Carpool Karaoke Christmas… Kelly Clarkson ‘flirting’ with 50 Cent?… Jelly Roll new weight loss goal… Drake look-alike contest… and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days sequel ‘in development’

In streaming news, Apple TV+ and Apple Music released a surprise holiday edition of Carpool Karaoke: The Series last night. Apple Music’s Zane Lowe takes over driving duties from James Corden, with Lady Gaga riding shotgun in LA, Dua Lipa in Tokyo, and Chappell Roan in Springfield, Missouri. In addition to holiday classics, each artist sang some of her own songs, as well. Dua performed a little Houdini and Chappell sang Good Luck, Babe! And in a bonus Carpool Karaoke surprise, Gaga and Zane’s version of Santa Clause Is Comin’ to Town was released simultaneously across all major platforms. In other streaming news, you can still watch them on Netflix, but Hulu is now a second home for all seven seasons of Gilmore Girls. Hulu has also curated a collection of the show’s holiday episodes, including Rory’s Dance (Season 1, Episode 9), That’ll Do, Pig (Season 3, Episode 10) and Women of Questionable Morals (Season 5, Episode 11). However! Netflix is the one who ordered the A Year in the Life revival episodes, so those will stay parked over there.

After he appeared as a guest on her talk show last week, a lot of viewers are shipping Kelly Clarkson and 50 Cent. Clips of his appearance have been posted on TikTok. In one, 50 told Kelly she was “really, incredibly smart,” and she jumped up and playfully smacked him on the arm. In other clips, Kelly gets flustered and her southern accent comes out strong, causing one person to comment, “Is it just me or are they flirting?” Another said, “I just need them to date. Because like, it’s there. Clearly, all of it.” Both Kelly and 50 are single at the moment. Not too long ago, 50 revealed he’s celibate and Kelly said she’s really loving not having a man in her life right now. But sources told Life & Style that Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood have been trying to set Kelly up with eligible bachelors in Nashville and New York, which is 50’s home base.

On his wife Bunnie’s Dumb Blonde podcast, Jelly Roll has revealed his next fitness goal. Back in October, Jelly revealed that he’d surpassed his goal of losing 100 pounds to run a 5K. Next up, Jelly says, “I wanna be on the cover of Men’s Health by March of 2026. That’s my new goal.” Jelly said he’s sharing this publicly because, “I think that people that become as big as I became, when they lose the weight, they’re kind of ashamed. They’re so ashamed that they go hide and lose the weight, and then they come back out and they don’t really know how to interact with the world looking different or feeling different, and they kinda gotta find their whole new way.” Jelly added, “I wanna bring people along with me…I didn’t become successful because of my weight. I became successful in spite of it. I somehow managed to be this successful with carrying 550 pounds. That’s insane.”

Celebrity lookalike competitions are all the rage. Last month at a Glen Powell lookalike contest in Austin, he offered the winner a role in his next movie. And this past Saturday at a Drake lookalike competition in his hometown of Toronto, Drake gave the winner $10K! And the winner was Makayla Chambers, who put her hair in pigtails, slapped on a fake goatee and wore an oversized beige sweater and black pants to capture the essence of Champagne Papi. Drake loved it. On his IG Story, he reposted several videos from the event, which featured contestants dressed as “Ozempic Drake,” “Denim Drake” and “Durag Drake.”

For Ana — Saturday Night Live will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a 3-hour live primetime special, airing Sunday, Feb. 16. Leading up to it, starting Jan. 16, Peacock will stream SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night. It’s a four-part series featuring a behind-the-scenes look at the show’s history. The series will cover the audition process and show how sketches are written — including the making of the infamous More Cowbell sketch. And in other “For Ana” news, a sequel to the 2003 movie How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days will reportedly start filming next year, and both Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey reportedly are on board. As of now, the movie’s working title is How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days – Again.
