It’s time to vote for the 27th Annual People’s Voice for the Webby Awards, which is considered the internet’s highest honor. The Webbys recognize the best internet content and creators in 8 major media types, including websites and mobile sites, games, podcasts and Metaverse, Immersive & Virtual. Two awards are presented in each category — one selected by members of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences and the other by the people. There are way too many categories, but you can vote on any or all of them through April 20 at WebbyAwards.com. For instance, Post Malone is up for Best Performance for Wasting Angels (Twelve Carat Toothache: A VR Experience) ft. The Kid LAROI. He’s facing Megan Thee Stallion’s AmazeVR Concert, Eli Roth’s Haunted House: Trick-VR-Treat, Gorillaz Presents Skinny Ape (Immersive Live Performance in Times Square) and The Notorious B.I.G. Sky’s The Limit: A VR Concert Experience. And up for Best VR Headset Experience are Once a Glacier, Moonwalk, Reimagined, Supernatural and The Calvin Harris Experience.

Snapchat filters like the “puppy dog” lens, the “vomiting rainbow,” “flower crown,” “gender swap” and the “baby” lens have been very popular. But the MOST popular was the “sad” or “crying face” filter. It was used 1.3B times in its first three days. It really blew up last year right after Amber Heard went viral for crying on the stand during the Johnny Depp defamation trial. Now the “disgust” filter has replaced “crying face” as the most popular filter. It went live Sunday and Snap users have already used it over 1.5B times.

The Paramount CEO has confirmed to the Hollywood Reporter that Matthew McConaughey will star in a spinoff of “Yellowstone.” Meantime, Kevin Costner is rumored to be considering leaving “Yellowstone.” Apparently, Kevin is demanding to work only one week for the second half of Season 5, which returns this summer. The CEO addressed that, saying, “What I can say is our star, the face of our show and the executive producer, are very confident he’s going to continue with our show.”

How are our twin flames Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly holding up? Are they together? Have their flames flickered out? It seems like they’re trying to figure that out. They haven’t been seen together in public since Valentine’s Day, but TMZ captured pictures of Megan and MGK vacationing together in Hawaii, but no signs of any PDA. Meantime, congratulations to Justin Long and Kate Bosworth who recently confirmed their engagement. And even more congratulations to Sofia Richie, who just completed her journey of converting to Judaism. She is set to marry music executive Elliot Grainge later this year.

So once and for all, WHY was Harry Styles not cast as Prince Eric in “The Little Mermaid” movie? Director Rob Marshall cleared it all up, telling Entertainment Weekly, “We met with him. He was lovely. What a wonderful guy. But at the end of the day, he really felt like he wanted to go off and do the movies that he ended up doing, which were sort of darker.” Harry actually ended up starring in two darker-toned movies last year: “Don’t Worry Darling” and “My Policeman.” Rob explained further, “For a lot of young musical people like Harry, you’re trying to carve your way and you don’t wanna be seen as a singer, necessarily. That’s why he was really looking to do something not in the musical genre, to really stretch himself. It was really a fun idea to play with, but in the end, I always think things happen for a reason. I’m so happy to have two young, new people in the film.” And the young man who did say yes to the role is Jonah Hauer-King, a British actor who is a dual citizen of the UK and the US.
