Women ruled the box office this weekend. “The Other Woman” knocked “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” out of the top spot, earning $24.7 million to take first place. “Captain America” earned another $16 million in its fourth weekend, taking second place. “Heaven Is for Real” came in third with $13.8 million. “Rio 2” was close behind in fourth with $13.7 million. And “Brick Mansions,” starring the late Paul Walker, rounded out the top five with $9.6 million.

Last month, Columbus Short sucker-punched a guy at a bar, knocking him out cold. And then last week, his wife filed for divorce and also asked for a restraining order. She claims Columbus threatened to kill her and then himself with a knife. So given the fact that Shonda Rimes doesn’t put up with nonsense behind the scenes, it should come as no surprise that Columbus Short will not be returning to “Scandal” next season. He released a statement on Friday saying, “At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I’ve called home for 3 years, with what is the most talented ensemble on television today. As much as I would like to provide my side of events, my counsel has instructed me that a Court of law is the only and proper venue to deal with such matters. Accordingly, I must refrain from making any comments even though that is very difficult for me under the circumstances.”

Another sign that Rihanna and Chris Brown are done? Katy Perry is partying with her again. Katy and RiRi were all over each other at 1Oak in NYC this weekend, with Leonardo DiCaprio there to admire the whole scene. Page Six is reporting that 15 bottles of Cristal were ordered for their table — all paid for by some billionaire who was just thrilled that celebrities allowed him hang out with them. Katy reportedly sprayed one of the bottles all over her friends, which shows how wasteful she can be when she’s not partying on her own dime. Rita Ora even stopped by for a bit. Katy, Rihanna and friends reportedly kept the party going until after 5am.

Are Selena Gomez and Orlando Bloom a thing?? The two of them arrived in the same car to catch Chelsea Handler’s show at the Forum on Saturday night. This is an especially interesting pairing because you may remember way back in December 2012 — when Justin Bieber performed at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show — he and Orlando’s wife Miranda Kerr reportedly got VERY cozy. It was even being reported that Orlando was very upset with Miranda over whatever did or didn’t happen between the two of them. And then last month, Selena posted a group picture of her and some friends — including Orlando and Seth Rogan — hanging out backstage somewhere, and Justin reportedly hit the roof. So if Selena and Orlando really are dating now, this is even juicier than it looks on the surface.

Reportedly, George and Amal were having dinner with Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber at Nobu on Thursday night and Amal was showing them her ENGAGEMENT ring!
