Glamour’s Women of the Year… “Nobody Wants This” details… Kim Kardashian demands Menendez brothers to be freed… Drake has unfollowed multiple people… and Garth Brooks accused of assault

Glamour magazine is out with their annual Women of the Year issue. On their website, it says, “Since 1990, Glamour has honored the world’s most extraordinary women — trailblazers, rule breakers, visionaries, and champions who have defined each year. Meet the class of 2024.” They are Serena Williams; who in post-retirement has established a venture fund that invests in businesses founded by women or people of color; Pamela Anderson, who stopped wearing makeup; Sydney Sweeney, who is building a empire that includes a huge real estate portfolio; Taraji P. Henson, who isn’t afraid to shout about pay inequity in Hollywood; Olympians Suni Lee and Allyson Felix; and for famous moms — Beyoncé’s mom Tins Knowles, Selena Gomez’s mom Mandy Teefey, Billie Eilish and Finneas’ mom Maggie Baird, and Travis and Jason Kelce’s mom, Donna.

Netflix’s hit rom-com Nobody Wants This is such a huge hit, fans are begging for a Season 2. Series creator Erin Foster has hinted at the possibility, but nothing has been greenlighted just yet. The series is loosely based on Erin’s real-life relationship with her husband, Simon Tikhman. The two of them met at a gym in 2018 and began dating soon after. But on their first date, Simon told Erin, “Whoever I marry, she has to be Jewish.” Erin said she’s grown up around a lot of Jewish friends but was never attached to a religion, so it wasn’t a difficult decision for her to convert to Judaism. The two were married on NYE in 2019. In the Netflix series, the show follows newly single rabbi Noah (Adam Brody) and agnostic sex podcast host Joanne (Kristen Bell) as they have a meet-cute and then try to figure out if their relationship can work.

It’s been 30 years since Lyle and Erik Menendez were sentenced to life without the possibility of parole for murdering their parents. The Menendez Brothers documentary will premiere on Netflix Monday, offering new insight into the case, including extensive interviews with the brothers, the lawyers involved in the trial, jurors, journalists who covered it, family and others who are highly informed about the case. There’s also news that the LA DA’s office is going to review the case after some new evidence has come to light. And one person who believes the brothers do deserve a shot at freedom is Kim Kardashian. She wrote an essay expressing her belief that Erik and Lyle “were condemned before (their) trial even began.” She wrote, “Erik and Lyle’s case became entertainment for the nation, their suffering and stories of abuse ridiculed in skits on Saturday Night Live….The media turned the brothers into monsters and sensationalized eye candy — two arrogant, rich kids from Beverly Hills who killed their parents out of greed. There was no room for empathy, let alone sympathy.” She went on to say if these had been girls accusing their parents of sexual abuse, their claims would’ve been taken more seriously. And then she described their “exemplary disciplinary records” while behind bars, earning multiple college degrees and serving as caregivers. She wrote, We owe it to those little boys who lost their childhoods, who never had a chance to be heard, helped, or saved.” She also feels the outcome of their trials would be “dramatically different” if the brothers were tried today.

Drake just unfollowed a bunch of people on Instagram, including Kendrick Lamar (duh), Rick Ross, Joe Budden, LeBron James, and Playboi Carti, among others. Fans believe these are all people who’ve made Drake unhappy over the past few months, and they also believe this could be a sign that Drake is preparing for his big comeback. After all, his company OVO stands for “October’s Very Own” and his birthday is October 24. Plus, we’re still waiting for the joint album Drake teased with PARTYNEXTDOOR to come out.

Garth Brooks has been accused of sexual assault and battery. A woman going by Jane Roe to protect her anonymity filed a lawsuit in LA yesterday. She’d worked as a makeup artist for Garth’s wife Trisha Yearwood since 1999, and began working with him in 2017. In the very graphic lawsuit, Jane Doe accuses Garth of sexually assaulting her on a number of occasions. He reportedly went to federal court in Mississippi hoping to stop this lawsuit from becoming public, but here we are. In a statement to Deadline, Garth has strongly denied the accusations, saying, “For the last two months, I have been hassled to no end with threats, lies, and tragic tales of what my future would be if I did not write a check for many millions of dollars.” Garth said he refuses to pay this woman “hush money” because it would mean he’s admitting to something he didn’t do. He said, “I trust the system. I do not fear the truth, and I am not the man they have painted me to be.”
