Ann Curry gets assistance by scout troop… Anderson Cooper’s interview with Donald Sterling… Seth Rogan and Zac Efron’s new movie… Eminem mends relationship with mom… and Executives cancel a bunch of TV shows

If Matt Lauer was walking on a trail and stumbled across an injured Ann Curry, would he stop to help? We could debate that for hours, but let’s just say it was a good thing it wasn’t Matt who was hiking past Ann in Harriman State Park in NY on Friday. New Jersey’s Troop 368 were hiking along and noticed a woman sitting on the ground. One of the Scouts asked if everything was okay, and she said, “Not really. I think I broke my ankle.” She told the boys to keep going, but they refused. They sprung into action, using all the skills they learned as Scouts to wrap her ankle in a splint. Then they ran into the woods to find pieces to build a makeshift stretcher. How cool is THAT! It wasn’t until after Ann was driven away that an EMT told the Scouts who they’d just helped. Ann sent them a lovely letter to thank them. She also tweeted, “If you break a leg on a mountain, I hope Boy Scout Troop 368 finds you. Boy, am I glad they found me.”

Anderson Cooper snagged the interview with Donald Sterling, which you can watch tonight at 7pm Central on CNN. Donald told Anderson that V. Stiviano set him up. He said, “I was baited. I mean, that’s not the way I talk.” Donald also said he’s not a racist, but he did make a terrible mistake. He told Anderson, “I’m here with you today to apologize and to ask forgiveness for all the people that I’ve hurt.” He also says he feels used by V. saying,  “I don’t know, an 80-year-old man is kind of foolish, and I’m kind of foolish.  I thought she liked me and really cared for me.  I guess being 51 years older than her, I was deluding myself.” Meantime, Donald’s wife Shelly told Barbara Walters that she believes her husband is suffering from dementia and says that before the  leaked tape, she’d never heard Donald make racist comments about minorities.

“Neighbors” starring Seth Rogan and Zac Efron debuted with an estimated $51.1 million this weekend, taking the number one spot away from “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” which fell to second with $37.2 million. “The Other Woman” was third with $9.2 million.

Wow! How far has the relationship come between Eminem and his mom! Eminem decided to release the video for his song “Headlights” on Mother’s Day yesterday. The song is on his “Marshall Mathers LP 2” album. Basically, “Headlights” is an open letter to his mom, Debbie Mathers. Eminem apologizes for all the hateful lyrics he spit at her since his career took off. But now he raps, “Did I take it too far? ‘Cleaning Out My Closet’ and all them other songs. But regardless I don’t hate you ’cause Ma, you’re still beautiful to me ’cause you’re my mom.” At the end of the video, Eminem and his mom hug it out. Very sweet.
