Gabriel Iglesias update… Hoda Kotb pay cut… 12 proper albums for Coldplay… Kristin Cavallari discusses breakup… and Diddy is stepping up his legal game

A listener reached out to me to let me know that her son was so excited to attend his first ever standup comedy show — FluffyMania World Tour: 20 Years of Comedy. But right in the middle of the tour, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias has pulled the plug. A few days ago, Fluffy posted, “The problem with going down the wrong path is sometimes you take people with you. I’m not where I need to be but I’m refocused and hopeful.” Then a couple days later, he posted this: “I cannot apologize enough for the sudden cancellation of recent shows. I’m dealing with some serious health and emotional issues that needed attention asap. Attempting to work through my problems was not going over and I had to stop everything b4 things got worse. Failing to make better choices and never taking a break in 20 years of intense touring has finally caught up to me. I need to get better b4 I can return to making people laugh and smile. I applaud my management for doing their best to protect me but my fans need to know the truth. Fluffy is fine but Gabriel needs help.”

Is there more to the story about why Hoda Kotb is leaving Today in early 2025? Last week, Hoda revealed she’s leaving the show in order to spend more time with her young daughters. However, a new report from Puck News says it all boils down to money. Hoda reportedly makes over $20M per year, and according to Puck News, NBC execs asked her to take a pay cut. While they love Hoda and recognize her value, the execs reportedly made it clear to Hoda’s agents that these stratospheric contracts are no longer justifiable with shrinking audience numbers.

Chris Martin says Coldplay has 12 albums in them, and that’s it. So after they release their 10th studio album Moon Music on Friday, you’ll get just two more and you’ll like it!! Chris told Apple Music, “We are only going to do 12 proper albums and that’s real. Yeah, I promise… Because less is more and, for some of our critics, even less would be even more! It’s really important that we have that limit.”Chris reasoned, “There’s only seven Harry Potter (books). There’s only 12-and-a-half Beatles albums, there’s about the same for Bob Marley, so all our heroes. Also, having that limit means the quality control is so high right now, and for a song to make it, it’s almost impossible, which is great.”

On the latest episode of her Let’s Be Honest podcast out today, Kristin Cavallari talks about breaking up with Montana Boyz TikToker Mark Estes after 7 months of dating. She sighed, “Mark and I broke up…It’s hard because I broke up with Mark because I just know long-term it’s not right, and it’s not because of love lost or something bad happened.” Nobody cheated…nobody was mean. She said it would actually be easier if he had done something that made her hate him. Kristin said it all boiled down to their age difference. She’s 37; he’s 24. Kristin said she was always “well aware” of their 13 year age gap, but knew it wasn’t going to be long term. She said, “Mark’s been the best boyfriend I’ve ever had. I just know long-term he needs to experience life, he’s young… I look back when I was 24 and how much life has happened between then, those are crucial years, those are formative years, they’re when you find yourself and he needs to be able to do that.” She also said, “Mark will make someone so happy one day … and he will have a beautiful family of his own. I know that one day he will look back and understand it and I actually think one day he will look back and thank me.” No comment yet from the heartbroken Montana Boyz……

Diddy is hoping the third time is the charm in his request for bail. After offering up $50M using his and his mama’s homes as collateral, after offering to stay away from women, and after offering to only travel between LA and Miami pending his trial, a judge has twice denied Diddy bail. So now Diddy has added 2 more attorneys to his defense team — Anthony Ricco and Alexandra Shapiro (no relation to famous defense lawyer Robert Shapiro) — in hopes they will convince a judge to let him out before he goest to trial. Diddy’s next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 9.
