Instagram is testing… John Legend the EGOTSMA… Our Prince Eric actor… Selena Gomez gets new tattoo… and Demi Lovato has a new boyfriend

Instagram wants in on some of that Tik Tok action. They launched a new feature in Brazil today that lets you shoot 15-second videos that can be edited with music from other videos….Just like Tik Tok! But Instagram is calling theirs Reels. You can share your Reels to your IG stories, DM your friends, or post them to a new section of Instagram’s Explore tab called Top Reels. Again, this is being tested in Brazil and we have no idea when this will be available for the rest of us.

He says he’s excited and a little scared at the same time, but John Legend will accept the title of People’s Sexiest Man Alive, thank you very much! The only person more excited about this is his wife, Chrissy Teigen. If you don’t follow her on Twitter, now’s the time to do it because she’s going to have a lot of fun with this. She already tweeted, “I cannot WAIT for people to get mad about John being the sexiest man alive. it’s my new Starbucks holiday cup.” And then she let us know she updated her Twitter bio to “currently sleeping with people’s sexiest man alive.” And late last night she let us know, “the sexiest man alive just made me a ham sandwich.” It’s only going to get better from here!

If you were super disappointed that Harry Styles turned down the role of Prince Eric in “The Little Mermaid,” does make you feel any better that they at least picked another cute British guy? His name is Jonah Hauer-King and I’m sure there are a handful of people who recognized his name when it was announced. For the rest of us, if you saw the movie “A Dog’s Way Home,” Jonah played Lucas. Otherwise, he’s been in a lot of British stuff. But this is a huge deal for him so I’m happy for him. Jonah will be Prince Eric to Halle Bailey’s Ariel. Melissa McCarthy gets to play the juiciest part — Ursula.

Selena Gomez surprised the audience at Julia Michaels’ concert in LA Today night when she came out to perform their song “Anxiety.” That song was featured on Julia’s album, “Inner Monologue Part 1.” Julia and Selena have actually co-written a lot of Selena’s songs together, including “Hands to Myself,” “Bad Liar” and her latest, “Lose You to Love Me.” Selena and Julia are super close. They just got matching hand tattoos.

It ain’t official until you post a mirror selfie! And Demi Lovato is officially in love because she posted a mirror selfie with her new boyfriend Austin Wilson, who also posted a different mirror selfie with Demi so he’s all in, too. She captioned hers, “My (heart)…” He captioned his, “My Love.” Austin is a model based out of LA. We’re not sure how they met or how long they’ve been dating, but they were both close to a model named Thomas Trussell III, who passed away back in October from an accidental drug overdose.
