Taylor Swift is opening the AMAs… MJ is pregnant… Chance the Rapper’s donation… Ben Affleck completed his rehab… and Chris Evans is done playing Captain America

The surprises for the American Music Awards keep coming! A couple days ago, Taylor Swift announced she’s opening the awards show on Tuesday night with her song, “I Did Something Bad.” And now we’re finding out that Jennifer Lopez will be debuting a new single from her upcoming movie “Second Act” at some point during the show, too. Other performers include Cardi B, Camila Cabello, Mariah Carey, Shawn Mendes and Post Malone. Tracee Ellis Ross is back as host. The AMAs are Tuesday night on ABC.

If you watch “Shahs of Sunset” on Bravo, you may be excited to know that MJ is pregnant! This is her first child with new hubby Tommy and she’s been open about her fertility struggles. MJ shared her happy news with Andy Cohen and the rest of her cast while filming this season’s reunion. And she also has a piece of advice for women who are waiting until later in life to have a baby. While she was going through IVF treatments, MJ told Us Weekly, “I really want all women who are single and 35 years old to run to their fertility doctors and get it done…..Don’t worry about the costs!”

Chance the Rapper is very generous when it comes to his hometown of Chicago. Last year, he gave a million dollars to Chicago’s public schools, and then yesterday, Chance pledged another million bucks to programs dealing with mental health issues throughout the Chicago area. And then yesterday, DJ Marshmello donated half a million dollars to support KIND — the Kids in Need of Defense Foundation, which helps refugee and immigrant children.

Ben Affleck posted a statement on his Instagram — his first since Father’s Day — explaining that he just completed a 40 day stay in rehab for alcohol addiction and is now in outpatient care. He said in part, “So many people have reached out on social media and spoken about their own journeys with addiction. To those people, I want to say thank you. Your strength is inspiring and is supporting me in ways I didn’t think was possible. It helps to know I am not alone. As I’ve had to remind myself, if you have a problem getting help is a sign of courage, no weakness or failure.” This was Ben’s third stint in rehab. He agreed to go after an intervention by his soon-to-be former wife Jennifer Garner. On Wednesday, Jen filed documents to speed up her divorce from Ben — the same day his 22-year-old Playboy model girlfriend Shauna Sexton was at his house. Apparently, Ben and Jen reached a settlement over the summer, but she was waiting until Ben got sober to sign off on joint custody of their 3 kids.

His contract is up and Chris Evans has turned in his shield. Someone else gets to play Captain America next go ‘round. Yesterday, Chris tweeted that he’d officially wrapped shooting on “Avengers 4,” saying, “It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.” Now, over four years ago, Chris told Variety that IF he’s acting at all, “it’s going to be under Marvel contract, or” — he said, “I’m going to be directing. I can’t see myself pursuing acting strictly outside of what I’m contractually obligated to do.” Chris later backtracked on that, saying that was “kind of a silly statement.” So he IS going to keep acting, but he also wants to direct more, as well.
