Last year, Tom Cruise made a deal with NASA and Elon Musk’s SpaceX to make the first movie in space. Their budget was reportedly $200M. Unfortunately, it looks like the US has lost the space race to the Russians….AGAIN. Back in the 50s and 60s, the Soviet Union — which is now Russia — beat us to the punch by launching the first space satellite. Then they beat us in sending the first man into space. But we did beat them by having our astronaut land on the moon before theirs did! HA! But yesterday, a Russian space ship blasted off to space in Kazakhstan with a crew of Russian actors, producers and legitimate cosmonauts. After about 3 hours of space flight, they docked with the International Space Station where they’re scheduled to spend 12 days filming a movie called “The Challenge.” Tom is still planning to head up there to film his stuff before the end of the year.

Camila Cabello made history with her song “Havana.” This week, she posted “i am HONORED to be the first Hispanic female singer to earn a Diamond single award and I hope this paves the way for many more incredible Latinx artists!!” Diamond status is achieved when a song hits 10 million downloads and sales.

If you’ve fallen off the “Jeopardy!” bandwagon, you might want to hop back on. Matt Amodio finished last week with his 33rd consecutive win, replacing James Holzauer as the second winningest player in the show’s history. Then on Monday, his winnings totaled $83K, setting the record for the biggest single day winnings ever. Ken Jennings even had to say something about that. He posted a shot of Matt with his winnings and captioned it, “Whoa.” Matt responded, “Now if only I could get that Ken Jennings smell out of the #Jeopardy winner’s podium.” Matt now has 35 wins under his belt, still has a way to go before he can topple Ken’s record of 74.

Page Six is reporting that Kanye West is secretly coaching Kim Kardashian as she prepares to host “Saturday Night Live” this weekend. A source said, “Kanye is quietly advising her on her performance, her opening monologue, even her costumes for the show.” Kim is expected to begin rehearsals today.

Britney Spears is finally finding her voice and she is using it to call out her family again on her Instagram. Yesterday, she posted a picture of a woman lying on a mattress on the floor with another woman swimming down through the air towards her. Britney captioned it, “This picture is everything to me !!! It makes me want to cry … she’s saving her divine feminine sister 🧜🏻♀️ !!!! I suggest if you have a friend that’s been in a house that feels really small for four months … no car … no phone … no door for privacy and they have to work around 10 hours a day 7 days a week and give tons of blood weekly with never a day off … I strongly suggest you go pick up your friend and get them the hell outta there !!!!! If you’re like my family who says things like “sorry, you’re in a conservatorship” … probably thinking you’re different so they can f*** with you !!!! But last year, Bryan supported his father and the conservatorship and over the summer, Jamie-Lynn posted a video saying if ending the conservatorship would make Britney happy, then she supports that.
