In game show news — the USPS announced a new Forever Stamp honoring late Jeopardy host Alex Trebek will be issued on July 22, which would have been Alex’s 84th birthday. It looks just like one of the blue-and-white clue panels that flips around when a contestant chooses a category and dollar amount. It says, “This naturalized U.S. citizen hosted the quiz show ‘Jeopardy!’ for 37 seasons.” Then upside down beneath the clue, the question is revealed, “Who is Alex Trebek?” A sheet of 20 will cost you $14.60. In other game show news, rumor has it that Vanna White isn’t clicking with new Wheel of Fortune host Ryan Seacrest. Even though she signed a two-year contract to stay on the show through the 2025-2026 season, she might not make it that long. A source told the Daily Mail, “Vanna is retiring from the show when her contract ends, but there is a part of her that wants to walk away sooner….She just doesn’t jibe with Ryan like she did with Pat, and no one really ever expected her to.”

In kid TV news — Apple TV+ recently announced their 10-episode kid series Yo Gabba GabbaLand will debut on Aug. 9. While they say this series is “inspired by” the original Yo Gabba Gabba, all the original monsters reportedly are returning. But taking over DJ Lance Rock’s hosting duties will be Kammy Kam, aka Dance Moms star Kamryn Smith, who appeared on Season 8 of the series. Kamryn’s mom Adriana pulled her off the show after calling out Abby Lee Miller’s racist behavior. Also like Yo Gabba Gabba, Yo Gabba GabbaLand will feature animated musical guests, including Anderson.Paak, Flea, Diplo, Portugal. The Man, and Betty Who, among others.

In movie remake news — After teasing in throughout 2023 and Disney confirming it in March of this year, production has officially begun on Freaky Friday 2! Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis released the first behind-the-scenes look outside their dressing room trailers. Jamie Lee is back as Tess and Lindsay as her daughter, Anna. Joining them are original cast members Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky and Rosalind Chao. According to Disney, the sequel “picks up years after Tess and Anna endured an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice.” In other sequel news, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F doesn’t hit Netflix until July 3, but Eddie Murphy announced that a fifth movie in the series is already in the works! In addition to that, not only is a fifth Shrek movie is coming next year, Eddie said Dreamworks is also developing a spinoff starring his character, Donkey.

In it’s-only-a-matter-of-time-before-they-get-engaged news, Travis Kelce was a guest on the Bussin With the Boys podcast, where he revealed his top 3 Taylor Swift songs. His No. 1 pick is Blank Space, which Travis called “a banger.” He said he knew who Taylor was throughout high school, but didn’t really start listening to her music until she came out with her 1989 album. Travis ranked Cruel Summer as his No. 2 favorite, saying it’s “one of the ones of the ones she opens with at her show, and when she comes out, it’s electric. I was fired up when that happened the first show I was ever at.” He’s referring to her July 2023 show n Kansas City, where he infamously failed to give Taylor a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it. And Travis’ No. 3 pick is So High School, saying “it’s got a little bit of a sentimental meaning.” When the podcast hosts asked him if the song was about him, Travis said, “I think so.”

In impending divorce news, Ben Affleck took his oldest daughter Violet out to lunch in LA, and he wasn’t wearing his wedding band. Meantime, Jennifer Lopez has been vacationing solo in Europe. After hanging out on a yacht in Positano, JLo headed to Paris for Fashion Week. She was photographed at the Christian Dior show wearing elbow-length black leather gloves, so no sign of a wedding ring there. But later when she was leaving her hotel, Jennifer kept her left hand in her pocket, obviously avoiding the obvious…..she’s ditched her wedding ring, too.
