“The Flash” reportedly had a production budget of around $220M, although some experts believe it was more than that. Studio execs didn’t have the highest hopes heading into its opening weekend, expecting it to make about $70M in its first 3 days. “The Flash” did open in first place, but only took in $55M. They’re hoping the Juneteenth holiday will add more to the coffers. Pixar’s “Elemental” was another disappointment. With a production budget of about $200M, “Elemental” opened in second with just $29.5M. “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” was a very close third, taking in another $27.8M in its third weekend. “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” fell to fourth in its second weekend with $20M. And “The Little Mermaid” finished in fifth with another $11.6M in its fourth weekend.

This year’s Bonnaroo Festival wrapped up yesterday in Manchester, Tennessee. Some of the performers included Kendrick Lamar, Foo Fighters, Lil Nas X, Sheryl Crow and Paramore. For some people, being at Bonnaroo was sort of like being in a car crash! That’s because the new iPhones have a feature called Crash Detection Mode. If you’re in a crash, your phone senses you’ve been in an impact and will ask if you’re okay. If you don’t answer, the phone will automatically call 911 and send help. Bonnaroo officials had to tell attendees with Apple phones to turn that feature off because they didn’t want EMTs responding to non-existent car crashes when it was just them crashing into each other!

The LAPD got a call Saturday morning about a woman in distress. The woman turned out to be Amanda Bynes, who has previously been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. We don’t know what happened behind closed doors, but a handcuffed Amanda appeared to be calm as police led her to a patrol car. She was taken to the police station for a medical evaluation, but we don’t know what decision was made about any possible treatment. Back in March, Amanda was wandering naked down a street in LA when she flagged down a car and told the driver she was coming down from a psychiatric episode. She then called 911 herself and ended up being placed on a 5150 hold. After more than 3 weeks, she was released from a mental health facility.

Adele is sometimes guilty of over-sharing. During a recent show in Vegas, Adele told the crowd that she was so hot that her boobs were sweating. That’s when she admitted that she’d recently been diagnosed with jock itch! Adele explained that she wears Spanx when she performs and that all her sweat doesn’t have anywhere to go. She explained, “Basically I just sit in my own sweat!” The doctor diagnosed her with jock itch, which is basically a fungus, and gave her medication to squirt on herself. After that big reveal, Adele said, “I don’t know why the (BLANK) I just told you that!”

Bebe Rexha performed at the The Rooftop at Pier 17 in NYC last night. Towards the end of her show, Bebe was walking toward the front of the stage when a cell phone came flying from the audience and smacked her in the face! She was momentarily shocked, turned to walk back and then fell to her knees as crew members rushed to help her. While Bebe was being led offstage, fans in the crowd pointed out the guy who threw the phone. Twenty-seven-year-old Nicolas Malvagna of NJ was arrested and charged with assault. Bebe was taken to the hospital where she received 3 stitches. As of now, she’s still scheduled to perform tomorrow night in Philadelphia.
