Box office happenings… Streaming news… Oasis to announce historic comeback… Ben Affleck’s contribution to divorce… and Celebrity baby news

In its fifth weekend of release, Deadpool & Wolverine has reclaimed the No. 1 spot at the box office, taking in another $18.3M, and earning more than $1.2B globally, so far! There’s more to be earned! Alien: Romulus enjoyed exactly one week on top, slipping to second in its second weekend with $16.2M. It Ends With Us was third with $11.8M. After three weeks, this one has earned $240M globally. Zoe Kravitz’s thriller Blink Twice — starring her fiancé Channing Tatum — debuted in fourth with $7.3M. And another new movie, The Forge, debuted in fifth with $6.6M. This faith-based movie is a spinoff from 2015’s War Room, and it cost only $5M to produce. The weekend’s other new movie — The Crow reboot starring Bill Skarsgård — bombed big time, opening in eighth with $4.6M. It hurts even more when you hear it cost $50M to produce.

In other movie and some streaming news, Travis Kelce is in talks to star in a Chad Stahelski action comedy called Loose Cannons. If you’re not familiar, Chad is the director of of all the John Wick movies. Loose Cannons will follow some unhinged cops who are paired up with equally crazy officers who don’t necessarily follow the rules. There’s no production timeline or release date yet. Matchbox Twenty’s Rob Thomas has done some acting here and there, but playing himself is giving him pause. Rob recently told Vulture that he’s been in talks to create a series called Rob Thomas Can’t Say No. Rob said, “It’s kind of a Larry David–style thing” about a version of himself who has a hard time saying “no” to people, which only digs him “deeper and deeper down into some sort of a hole and new obligation.” But Rob adds, “The whole thing hinges on me acting in it, so that’s why we keep going back and forth and trying to figure out if I’m comfortable with that.” And finally, nothing has been officially announced, but pieces are falling into place for a fourth season of Ted Lasso on Apple TV+. Jason Sudeikis reportedly is on board as an executive directer and Warner Bros. reportedly picked up options for Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Weston), Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent), and Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins).

This Wednesday marks 15 years since Noel Gallagher quit Oasis in a huff. But in a shocking development, Noel and his brother Liam not only figured out a way to co-exist, they’ve reportedly negotiated a deal to reunite the band! Noel posted a teaser on his Instagram yesterday, hinting that big news is coming Tuesday morning. His post came after numerous reports that the brothers secretly agreed to return for a series of UK concerts next summer. A music source said, “This is the reunion that no one thought would ever happen. Liam and Noel have been staunch enemies for well over a decade, but they’ve secretly been back in touch. A deal was put on the table and they both said yes — much to the surprise of the people around them.”

Ben Affleck is no longer Jennifer Lopez’s problem. But is he now a Kennedy problem? Ben reportedly has been hitting up a few hots spots in the LA area with Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s 36-year-old daughter, Kick. She was named after her late great-aunt Kathleen Kennedy, who was also nicknamed “Kick.” Kick prefers acting over politics. She’s had parts on shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm and Newsroom, and she even appeared as herself on an episode of Gossip Girl. And Kick’s brother Connor once dated Taylor Swift, so there’s that. We’re not sure what is or isn’t happening between Ben and Kick. She declined to comment and Page Six is still waiting to hear back from Ben’s reps.

The babies are here! We don’t know when he was born, but on Friday, Justin Bieber announced the birth of his son. He posted a photo of Hailey’s beautifully manicured hand with a precious baby foot, captioning it, “WELCOME HOME … JACK BLUES BIEBER” Jack is the middle name of Justin’s father, Jeremy. Then on Sunday, Lea Michele announced she and her husband Zandy Reich have welcomed a baby girl, Emery Sol. Big brother Ever just turned 4. And if you believe Life & Style, Adele is not only busy planning her upcoming wedding to sports agent Rich Paul, she’s also planning to have a baby with him, via surrogate.
