Nick Carter will not be charged… “Lazy Rich Asians” comedy pitched… Bruno Mars rumors… Amanda Stanton apologizing for Vegas arrest… and Are Nicki Minaj and Lewis Hamilton dating?

Back in 2003 when she was in the girls group Dream, Melissa Schulman claimed that Backstreet Boy Nick Carter raped her in his apartment. Nick says it was consensual. Melissa filed a police report, but the LA DA’s office says they won’t pursue the case. Because she was 18 at the time of the alleged assault, the statute of limitations expired five years ago. Nick’s attorney released a statements saying, “Nick has denied these allegations ever since he first learned of them last year, and was confident the District Attorney would conclude that there was no basis to pursue charges against him. He is happy to put this matter behind him.”

“Crazy Rich Asians” has been a crazy huge success, so why not capitalize on that! ABC has just bought a new show pitched to them as “Lazy Rich Asians.” The show is about a “first-generation Chinese-American woman who struggles to set healthy boundaries with her crazy, exhausting family. When her wealthy grandmother dies and names Janet the sole inheritor, she suddenly finds herself the unwilling new matriarch of the family she’s spent her life trying to keep at arm’s length.”

Color me disappointed! After the Daily Mirror reported that Bruno Mars has signed on to play Prince in an upcoming Netflix movie, Bruno’s rep says that story is “100 percent false.” And Netflix agreed with him, saying they don’t have any Prince movie in development.

Former Bachelor contestant turned lifestyle blogger/influencer Amanda Stanton now has a criminal record. She was in Vegas for a bachelorette party and took her boyfriend Bobby Jacobs with her. At 3:15 am, the two of them were being so loud in their room at the Wynn that someone called security to come check on them. While security was talking to Bobby, Amanda reportedly shoved him so hard that security decided to call the police, who took her downtown and booked her for battery domestic violence. Now Amanda’s rep has released a statement saying, “Amanda is embarrassed and ashamed this happened and sincerely apologizes to hotel security and the Las Vegas Police Department. Amanda is a gentle, respectful person who has never gotten physical with anyone under any circumstance. That evening she had a few drinks at a bachelorette party and when hotel security asked her and Bobby to quiet down, she got a bit rambunctious. Amanda gave Bobby what she thought was a playful shove; hotel security did their job and reported the incident to the police, who in turn did their job. Despite Bobby explaining this was not an ill-intended shove, the police still had to do their job which Amanda completely respects and understands.”

People are taking sides in the Nicki Minaj/Cardi B feud. And one person who is definitely Team Nicki is race car driver Lewis Hamilton. Lewis brought Nicki as his date to celebrate his collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger. Surprise!! And apparently this was a legit date.
