Iconic items sell at auction… Bravo news… Oscar host hunt… Movie & TV news… and Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt’s son Pax hospitalized

Heritage Auctions just hosted an auction for a lot of movie memorabilia. One lucky Star Wars nerd paid $175K for a gold bikini that was screen tested but not used in Return of the Jedi. Apparently, Carrie Fisher found it to be too uncomfortable, so Princess Leia wore a different on on screen as she was being held captive by Jabba the Hutt. But an even richer Star Wars nerd paid $1.55M for a model of a Y-wing fighter that took on the Death Star in the original Star Wars movie.

In other auction news, Travis Barker sold a signed boarding pass for $8K, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting a teen adoption agency called Lost But Not Forgotten. In addition to his autograph, Travis wrote, “I know I got angels watching over me.” This is something Travis reportedly writes on all his boarding passes now. The reason this is significant is because, back in 2008 Travis and his best friend DJ AM were the only two people who survived a deadly plane crash in Columbia, SC. Travis suffered third-degree burns on 65% of his body and ultimately spent 11 weeks in the hospital, where he underwent 27 surgeries. Unfortunately, DJ AM passed away the following year from a prescription drug overdose. It took 13 years, but Kourtney Kardashian helped Travis overcome his fears and start flying again.

In Bravo news, Andy Cohen has confirmed that big changes are coming to The Real Housewives of New Jersey. With the current cast so divided, Andy said, “We are rebooting the show…We’re gonna do something different…We’ll see. I don’t know. Maybe just all fresh faces.” WHOA!!! And with Kenya Moore out, Phaedra Parks is coming back to save Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Altanta! Phaedra held a peach from Seasons 3-9, but was fired after spreading a rumor that Kandi and her husband Todd were plotting to drug and sexually assault Porsha. Kandi refused to film with Phaedra after that, but now that Kandi has left the show, the door was open for Phaedra to return.

ABC is having trouble finding someone who wants to host the Oscars. Jimmy Kimmel has hosted a total of four times, including the past two years. After he hosted it a third time, Jimmy said he didn’t want to do it again, but all the buzz about Barbie and Oppenheimer got him excited to do it one more time. But now, Jimmy says he is DONE. So the offer was then made to John Mulaney, whose riff on Field of Dreams during the last Oscars ceremony ended up being one of the show’s highlights. He, too, declined. However, Academy CEO Bill Kramer remains optimistic in finding the perfect host, telling Variety, “We have some great options.”

With the success of Andrew McCarthy’s Brats documentary on Hulu, there’s been renewed interest in all things related to the original Brat Pack — Andrew, Emilio Estevez, Demi Moore, Ally Sheedy, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald and Rob Lowe. In fact, while promoting the second season of his Netflix comedy Unstable, Rob said a sequel to St. Elmo’s Fire is in the works. He told Entertainment Tonight, “We’ve met with the studio and I have been talking about doing it for about four months…But it’s very, very, very, very, very early stages, so we will see.” Speaking of documentaries, Peacock will air Face to Face With Scott Peterson, which includes Scott’s first on-camera interview since 2003. This coincides with the 20th anniversary of Scott’s conviction in the murder of his pregnant wife Laci and their unborn son Conner. The 3-part docuseries reportedly includes new developments in the case, which is now being reexamined by the Los Angeles Innocence Project. It premieres on Aug. 20.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s 20-year-old son Pax Jolie-Pitt was rushed to an LA hospital yesterday after crashing his electric bike into the back of a car that had stopped at a red light. He wasn’t wearing a helmet. Pax was taken to the hospital complaining of head and hip pain. Doctors initially suspected Pax had suffered a minor brain bleed, but we now hear he is in stable condition and should be able to go home today.
