This week Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 — making it only the third Christmas song to ever accomplish this feat. The other two are All I Want for Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey and The Chipmunk Song by The Chipmunks with David Seville. Mariah released her Christmas anthem back in 1994, but it didn’t hit No. 1 until 2019. Since then, it’s hit No. 1 a total of 12 times. Brenda Lee was only 13 when she recorded that song way back in 1958. It peaked at No. 14 in 1960 and got as high as No. 2 nine times between December 2019 and last year’s holiday season. But now at the age of 78, Brenda is the oldest artist to ever reach No. 1 on the Hot 100! When she heard the news, she cried! And in honor of the song’s 65th anniversary, Brenda made the song’s first official video which features her friends Trisha Yearwood and Tanya Tucker.

In movie and streaming news…Back in 2019, the president of HBO said there would be no third installment of Big Little Lies, saying, “Unfortunately, it’s done.” But during a Q&A at a golf tournament in Nashville, Nicole Kidman said, “We will be bringing you a third one, FYI.” Season 2 hasn’t even premiered yet, but Amazon Prime Video has already announced that there will be Season 3 of Reacher. Season 2 will have 8 episodes with the first 3 dropping on Dec. 15. Then we’ll get a new episode every Friday through Jan. 19. Also on Dec. 15, Barbie will begin streaming on Max. Finally, the pandemic led Disney Pixar to stream several movies that were meant to be released in theaters, so now, they’re making it right. Coming to the big screen on Jan. 12 will be 2020’s Soul. On Feb. 9, they’ll release 2022’s Turning Red. And on March 22, you can watch 2021’s Luca on the big screen.

Her feelings have softened when it comes to her mom and baby sister, but is Britney Spears extending an olive branch to her dad?? After news broke yesterday that Jamie Spears had his leg amputated, Britney posted a bunch of throwback paparazzi photos featuring her and her boys when they were itty-bitties. But in one of the photos, Britney is standing next to her dad Jamie, who’s holding his grandson’s lunchbox and sippy cup. Britney captioned the carousel with photo credits, but a lot of people think posting that photo with Jamie spoke volumes. But then she got right back to posting the usual stuff. There’s one video of Britney bumping and grinding in front of her Christmas tree wearing high heels and a dress she said was too big. That’s followed by a video of her naked on the beach from 3 months ago, right after her husband announced he was out of there.
Taylor Swift hopped on her jet and flew back to NYC yesterday, leading her fans to believe that the ONLY reason she would leave Travis Kelce behind after suffering a heartbreaking loss to the Packers on Sunday was because she was about to be revealed as Time’s Person of the Year. And the Swifties were right. After enjoying a night on the town with her good buddy Jack Antonoff, Taylor kicked off the day as Person of the Year. Taking a cue from Taylor and her marketing genius, Time is releasing three different covers.

In jaw-dropping news, the same day Amy Robach and TJ Holmes released their Amy & TJ podcast, we found out that their ex-spouses are now seeing each other! Not only that, this has apparently been going on for six months! Page Six was first to report that Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig are together. Apparently, they bonded over their heartbreak and anger and things turned romantic. News of Amy and TJ’s affair — which they still insist wasn’t an affair — broke in November 2022, when paparazzi snapped photos of TJ grabbing Amy’s butt during a cabin getaway. TJ said on his podcast, “To be clear, we were outed as being in a relationship, but everyone else thought we were being outed as adulterers….and it wasn’t the case because the odd thing is, the day those pictures were taken and the day that article was released, we both at that point were in divorce proceedings.” Andrew and Amy finalized their divorce in March. But TJ waited about a month after news of his affair broke to file for divorce from Marilee. They finally settled in October. A source told Page Six that everyone has moved on and that Andrew and Marilee aren’t heartbroken or sad anymore.
