Little Mix is taking a break… “The Thanksgiving Text” movie… Rihanna responds to fan… Joshua Bassett’s new music… and Alec Baldwin’s first interview since the fatal accident
Listen to “Showbiz – Dec 3, 2021” on Spreaker.
Little Mix has gone through a lot of changes recently. It was one year ago that Jesy Nelson announced she was leaving the group and that caused all sorts of drama. Then two of the remaining three members of Little Mix announced they were pregnant. In August, Perrie Edwards welcomed baby boy Axel with her soccer player boyfriend. A few days later, Leigh-Anne Pinnock delivered twins. She and her fiancé have chosen to keep the names and sexes of their twins private. Now Little Mix has decided they need to take a little break, but they SWEAR it’s not a breakup. On their official Twitter account, the group announced, “We wanted to let you all know that after the Confetti tour in April/May next year we are going to be taking a break from Little Mix. It’s been 10 amazing years, a wonderful non-stop adventure, and we feel the time is right to take a break so we can recharge and work on some other projects…We are not splitting up – Little Mix are here to stay. We have plans for more music, tours and performances in the future. We’ve made so many incredible memories with you all, and we can’t wait to make so many more…..We’re sisters and we’ll always have each other and you, the fans, in our lives. Little Mix is forever See you on tour! Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie x”

Back in 2016, Wanda Dench thought she was texting her grandson to invite him to Thanksgiving dinner. Instead, she’d accidentally texted a completely stranger. That stranger was Jamal Hinton who texted back, “You not my grandma” with a wide-eyed, a crying laughing and an “I’m dead” emoji. But then he asked, “Can I still get a plate tho?” Wanda responded, “Of course you can. That’s what grandma’s do…feed every one.” And that was the beginning of an annual tradition. Jamal just celebrated his sixth Thanksgiving dinner with Wanda’s family. And now, Netflix is turning their story into a movie! In a joint statement, Wanda and Jamal said, “We hope (our story) inspires more people to reach out and make connections that they wouldn’t ordinarily make. We are so blessed to find a genuine friendship brought together by God from a mistaken text message.”
“The Thanksgiving Text” will recount the true tale that began in 2016, when Wanda Dench thought she was texting her grandson to check if he would be coming over for Turkey Day. She actually texted Jamal Hinton, who accepted her invitation anyway https://t.co/Cdmoy2kQFX— Variety (@Variety) December 3, 2021
The Right Excellent Robyn Rihanna Fenty is back from Barbados and was seen shopping yesterday in New York with her boyfriend A$AP Rocky. While she was being named a National Hero of Barbados, a lot of people decided to start a rumor that Rihanna was pregnant, which seemed to have a little hint of truth to it after a verified Twitter account posted the news. Even though she hasn’t commented publicly, Rihanna may have cleared this rumor up in private. A fan slipped into Rihanna’s DMs, asking, “Can I come to the baby shower sis? True or not your babies are going to be beautiful. Sorry everyone’s up in your uterus right now.” Rihanna replied, “Haaaaa! Stawwwp! You ain’t came to the first 10 baby showers! Y’all breed me every year dammit lol.”

Olivia Rodrigo was angry with her ex-boyfriend Joshua Bassett and she let the world know it. Now it’s Joshua’s turn. He released 3 songs with music videos yesterday, and it looks like all three are about Olivia. In his song “Secret,” Joshua refers to Olivia’s “Good 4 U” singing, “I really hope you had your fun / Good for you foolin’ everyone / You had me tricked for 16 months.” In “Crisis,” Joshua sings, “If you get to tell your truth / Then so do I / And it’s cool if you want me to play the bad guy.” Also, he sings, “Half the s— you’re saying’s only half true / Messing with my life as a career move / I can’t help but wonder why you won’t make it end.” Joshua also reveals that he has received death threats from fans and sings, “I wish that I could open my eyes and the nightmare be over / But you sensationalize, keep fanning the fire for the headlines.” And get this! “Swore that you only had a crush / You told me that you would cut him off / I should’ve seen it coming then / My friends all warned me I should run for the hills / But I defended you still / ‘Cause I know rumors could kill.”
Joshua Bassett urges fans to “treat everyone with respect and love” and not send hate on his behalf after release of his new songs.
He also revealed 100% of his earnings from “Crisis” will go toward mental health organizations. pic.twitter.com/mb6TMniuHf— Pop Crave (@PopCrave) December 3, 2021
Alec Baldwin says he didn’t pull the trigger of the gun on the set of “Rust” and feels no guilt for accidentally shooting and killing his cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins. When George Stephanopoulos asked Alec if he felt guilty, he replied, “No, no. I feel that someone is responsible for what happened, and I can’t say who that is, but I know it’s not me.” He also said if he did feel that he was responsible, he may have killed himself. Alec described the events that led to the shooting, saying they were rehearsing a scene and — at the direction of Halyna — he was holding the gun at different angles and then — again at her direction — he cocked the gun. When he released the hammer, even though his finger was not on the trigger, the gun went off. Alec said he saw Halyna fall, but he thought she’d fainted from a heart attack or something. It was about an hour later when he realized there must’ve been a live round in the gun and then it was several hours later that he found out Halyna had died. Alec also said he was told by people “in the know” that it is “highly unlikely” that he will face criminal charges. He said, “There is only one question to be answered, only one. And that is: where did the live round come from?”
