Chadwick Boseman had no will… Johnny Depp debunks rumor… Christian Bale hasn’t seen The Batman… Kendall Jenner & Devin Booker spotted together… and Ashton Irwin rushed to hospital

Listen to “Showbiz – June 28, 2022” on Spreaker.

Chadwick Boseman didn’t reveal that he had colon cancer so news of his death two years ago truly shocked the world. We were also surprised to learn that months before he died, Chadwick had secretly married Taylor Simone-Ledward. Chadwick didn’t have a will, which meant his wife was in control of settling his estate. And now we all know that Chadwick chose a wife wisely because she handled everything beautifully. According to court documents, Chadwick’s estate was worth almost $3.9M. Taylor asked to be reimbursed for Chadwick’s funeral expenses, as well as the two mausoleum crypts she purchased for Chadwick’s parents. She also had to cut a check for about $51K in taxes and about $900K went to lawyers figuring all this out. After all was said and done, there was $2.3M left, and Taylor is splitting it with Chadwick’s parents. She gets $1.15M and they get $1.15M. Legal experts say that if Chadwick had left a will, he would’ve left more money for his loved ones because the legal bills wouldn’t have been nearly as high.

During his defamation trial against Amber Heard, Johnny Depp testified he would never work with Disney again because of their knee-jerk reaction to drop him from the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise based on Amber’s false claims of abuse. After winning his case, a gossip site called Pop Topic got the big scoop that Disney was offering Johnny a $301M deal in an effort to woo him back. But NBC News reached out to one of Johnny’s reps who kept his comment short and sweet, “This is made up.” We’re not sure if Johnny has any acting gigs on the table, but next year, he’s planning to do an overseas tour with his band, Hollywood Vampires, which includes Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Tommy Henrikson.

Christian Bale was asked if he would ever play Batman again and he said yes….under one condition. Christian said, “In my mind, it would be something if Chris Nolan ever said to himself, ‘You know what, I’ve got another story to tell.’ And if he wished to tell that story with me, I’d be in.” Chris was the writer and director of Christian’s “The Dark Knight” trilogy. In the interview, Christian also admitted he still hasn’t seen Robert Pattinson’s Batman movie, but in all honestly, he doesn’t really watch too many movies. Christian is making his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in “Thor: Love and Thunder” as a villain named Gorr the God Butcher. It hits theaters July 8th.

Less than a week after news broke they’d broken up a couple weeks earlier, Kendall Jenner and Devin Booker were spotted hanging out again at Soho House in Malibu on Sunday. Paparazzi caught photos of them looking like they were having a really nice time. They were talking and laughing but no PDA. But then again, Kendall and Devin never act like that in public. Also on Sunday, fans noticed the two of them were liking each other’s Instagram photos. He liked a photo of Kendall sunbathing butt-naked and she like a photo of Devin playing baseball. Either they’re working things out or this is the most friendly celebrity breakup ever.

“5 Seconds of Summer” was 45 minutes into their concert outside Houston Sunday night when drummer Ashton Irwin started experiencing stroke-like symptoms and had to be rushed to the hospital. The band issued a statement for fans on their Instagram Stories, saying, “…Last night’s show ended early due to a medical incident during the show. Upon experiencing physical symptoms, Ashton was taken to a local hospital for the tests and medical review. As a result, it was advised Ashton had experienced extreme heat exhaustion. Thankfully and most importantly, he is feeling OK and recovering very well. We apologize to all the fans in attendance for the show being cut short…” They also let fans know that Ashton needs some time to recover, so tonight’s show in Rogers, Arkansas, is being rescheduled for July 26. Ashton wanted to give his fans an update, tweeting, “I suffered from an intense migraine brought on by exhaustion and overheating onstage which made me loose [sic] my vision and gave me symptoms of stroke in the left side of my body. So the decision was to end the show there and then. It’s always amazing to play a massive energetic show in every environment thrown at us. Unfortunately this time my body gave out due to heat exhaustion. I was in tears in the ambulance, because I feel I’ve let many people down. I’m looking after myself and getting rest now. I feel so loved and looked after by my brothers and team and all of you. This is the price a dehydrated drummer pays when he takes on Teas heat. All will be made right, ticketing wise, and rescheduling wise. I love you. Thanks for the love. I’ll be back onstage ASAP! X”
