Today’s overachieving teacher is Emma Wheeler and she is planning on using the money to help with awareness, to decrease negative stigma and so much more! Read what she wrote below.

“I am a school psychologist and leader of a high school Mental Health Awareness Club. Our club wants to spread mental health awareness, decrease negative stigma, and increase help seeking behavior. This is important to our students as we have lost young people at our school and in our community to suicide. The MHA Club is planning a fun and educational week in May to raise mental health awareness. However, fundraising has been difficult in recent years, due to fundraising restrictions and challenges related to COVID-19. I would put the $500 towards materials, food, and prizes for our MHA Week.“
