Today’s overachieving teacher is Liz Buchanan and she is planning on using the money to help the students lacking communication skills! Read what she wrote below.

“I’d start our very own K.I.D.D.’s Club (KEVA Inspired Dynamic Discussions)! Post-pandemic effects have resulted in my students lacking communication skills and I need to use basic “old school” resources. KEVA planks are small wooden blocks used in STEM lessons. In K.I.D.D.’s Club, teams will be given a rubric and a 2D or 3D Challenge to be created with KEVA planks. The majority of the rubric is aimed at the SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) aspect. My kids will learn how to communicate with each other without technology, use problem solving skills and get exposure to STEM based careers!”
