S.W.A.T. is canceled. Teddi Mellencamp health update. Paradise‘s season finale. We’ve got a WHOLE LOT MORE Hollywood updates!

Last month, CBS was happily signing renewals for several series: NCIS, NCIS: Origins, NCIS: Sydney, Tracker, George & Mandie’s First Marriage, Hollywood Squares, Elsabeth, Fire Country and Ghosts. That one actually landed a 2-season pickup. CBS also ordered a Blue Blood spinoff called Boston Blue, as well as a Fire Country spinoff called Sheriff Country. But this month, it’s a different story. Earlier this week, CBS started wielding the axe, canceling FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International. Yesterday, the cast and producers of S.W.A.T. were told they’re canceled, too. With 8 seasons and 163 episodes, this was the network’s longest-running action drama. But this is also the third time S.W.A.T. has been canceled by CBS. They were told it was over after Season 6 and again after Season 7, but this time, it looks like the cancellation will stick. So if you’re a Shemar Moore fan, you have a little more time together. There are still 9 episodes remaining of Season 8. The final countdown begins tonight on CBS.

Just over 3 months after he proposed to Hailee Steinfeld, Josh Allen rounded up the fellas for his bachelor party this week at a golf tournament in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He was joined by his NFL buddies Kyle Allen, Sam Darnold, and Christian Kirk. On videos posted on X, you can see Josh and his crew heckling PGA golfer Billy Horschel, who had a good sense of of humor about it. So if he’s already having his bachelor party, does that mean the wedding is right around the corner?

Teddi Mellencamp had four tumors removed from her brain last month. She had to have her hair shaved off for the surgery, but last night she posted a photo with beautiful long, blond hair. At first, I thought perhaps it was a throwback photo, but it was actually a fantastic wig. Teddi captioned the photo: “Update from my scans today: I have multiple tumors in my brain that weren’t able to be removed via surgery. I also have 2 tumors in my lung. These are all metastases of my melanoma. The doctors are hopeful that immunotherapy will effectively treat them. I am feeling positive— that I will win this battle, that I got this wig (I like the short hair, just not the bald spots), and that I can remember all of Angelina’s kids’ names. Now, as @bravoandy would say: with all due… (BLANK) off, cancer!” Teddi is set to begin her immunotherapy treatment on Tuesday.

This week was the Season 1 finale of Peacock’s hit original series, Paradise. Creator Dan Fogelman told Entertainment Weekly that scripts for Season 2 are currently being written and production is scheduled to begin next month. He’s hopeful it will be ready to stream in early 2026. As far as what to expect, Dan said we should all brace ourselves for a “very exciting, emotional, big journey.” He said, “The second season is going to turn what you thought the first season was — and what Paradise and the bunker was — a little bit on its head.”

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are asking a federal judge to shield their private texts with other celebrities from Justin Baldoni because they’re afraid his team will leak them. Blake’s attorney argued, “There is a significant chance of irreparable harm if marginal conversations with high profile individuals with no relevance to the case were to fall into wrong hands.” But Justin’s lead attorney Bryan Freedman calls this request unnecessary and offensive. The judge previously shut down portions of Blake’s subpoena for Justin’s phone records because he determined the request to be “overly intrusive and disproportionate to the needs of the case.” This is still scheduled to go to trial one year from now.
