New records on Fandango… DIY Network replaced… Meghan Markle’s private birth… More A-Rod & J-Lo drama… and Kim Kardashian West says she’s studying for the bar exam
“Avengers: Endgame” has set two new records on Fandango. It sold more advanced tickets in its first 24 hours and more advanced tickets in its first week than any other movie in history. The previous record holder was “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” And “Endgame” is outpacing “Avengers: Infinity War” in advance sales by 5 to 1. By the way, “Endgame” is 3 hours and 1 minute long, so plan accordingly.

Back in the fall, Chip and Joanna Gaines revealed they were developing their own TV network, and now we have a little more information. Yesterday their Magnolia empire and Discovery, Inc. announced that Chip and Joanna’s cable network will replace Discovery’s DIY Network, and it will be ready to go in the summer of 2020. They don’t have a name for it yet. I’m guessing Magnolia? But the channel is already hooked to more than 52 million homes in the US.

I love Meghan Markle and how she’s shaking things up at the Palace, but this news has me a little upset. Buckingham Palace made a Royal Announcement this morning: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby. Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.” So basically, the baby’s about to arrive but we’re not going to know anything about it because Meghan and Harry aren’t going to do that whole thing where they present the baby on the steps of the hospital after he or she is born. Meghan and Harry haven’t announced where the baby will be born. One source says it will be at a wellness center, another says it will be a home birth.

Right after Alex Rodriguez proposed to Jennifer Lopez, Jose Canseco accused A-Rod of cheating on J-Lo with his ex-wife, Jessica. Jessica denied it on Twitter. Then that former Playmate turned porn star from England accused A-Rod of sexting her for about a month over the new year, but we haven’t really heard any more about that. Jennifer hadn’t said a word about any of it …. until yesterday. Charlamagne Tha God had Jennifer on his radio show and asked her about that “hater” Jose — not the ex-Playmate, though! — and Jennifer said, “to address “hater” Jose’s cheating claim. Jennifer said, “It doesn’t matter, I know what the truth is. I know who he is, he knows who I am…We’re just happy! We’re not going to let, like, other people come out and tell us what our relationship is. I know what our relationship is, you know?”

After Kim Kardashian went to DC to convince President Trump to free 63-year-old Alice Marie Johnson from prison, she told Vogue magazine that she got a phone call from the White House asking her for advice on changing the system of clemency. She said, “I’m sitting in the Roosevelt Rom with, like, a judge who had sentenced criminals and a lot of really powerful people and I just sat there, like, ‘Oh! I need to know more.” And that inspired her decision to become a lawyer! Kim revealed that she has begun a 4-year apprenticeship with a law firm and hopes to become a lawyer in 2022! As part of her apprenticeship, Kim has to complete 18 hours of supervised study each week and she will also shadow two attorneys serving as her mentors.
Kim Kardashian West says she’s studying for the bar exam.

California is one of four states that doesn’t require attorneys to have a law or even college degree. Instead, you can do an apprenticeship with a practicing attorney before taking the bar. pic.twitter.com/WEEL8Ie3c0
