Well, I told you that I was going to have a boring weekend and I didn’t let you down. It’s not that I wasn’t busy… Actually, I was really busy. I just wasn’t busy doing anything that was all that exciting. Unless you call spending money, busy!

Friday, I went to U-Haul and rented a truck. Then I headed to the furniture store where I had picked out some furniture for my new restaurant as well as my house. When I got there, my salesman broke the bad news to me. They sold one of my couches that they were holding for me. I was pretty bummed about that but it happens. Instead of picking up 3 couches, I was only picking up 2. I dropped one off at my house and took the other one to the restaurant. This may sound easy but this entire thing took about 5 hours. It was a beating. So much so that at dinner that night, one of my friends told me that I should go home. I was sitting at the dinner table they noticed that I was falling asleep. That’s a new one. I’ve never fallen asleep in the middle of a steak dinner. I took my friend’s advice and took an Uber home.

Saturday, it was more spending. This time, it was Best Buy. It was time to buy the TVs for the restaurant. I had to drive to the Best Buy warehouse pick up the 5 TVs. They should be hooked up first thing Monday morning. So, the restaurant is coming together. Barstools and dining chairs should be delivered today.

I didn’t even take time to visit my mom this weekend so I have to get over to her house today for a visit. This whole thing is very exciting but it’s also crazy stressful as well. I LOVE being the person in charge and not having any business partners but it does stretch me in several directions as well. And this weekend was a very slow weekend as far as sales are concerned and it makes me really wonder if I’m doing the right thing by trying to expand the empire…??? Well, too late to have second thoughts now, right?

Like I said, my life is busy but boring right now. I know those two things don’t really go together but those are the highlights. Two weeks until the opening and that’s when I hope things can settle down a bit and I can resume doing stuff that doesn’t involve buying restaurant furniture.
