M.I.A's halftime stunt

Madonna’s halftime show may have been over shadowed by a little stunt. LMFAO, Nicki Minaj, Cee-Lo Green and M.I.A all made an appearance, but M.I.A is the only one that ticked off the networks. She took advantage of her moment in the spotlight by flicking off millions of viewers, and possibly slipping in a cuss word, as she was wrapping up her verse. She may have slipped in the bad word during her line ‘I don’t give a shhhh’, but it wasn’t really audible.

NBC and NFL have both released statements on the incident. NBC apologized, saying it was a ‘spontaneous gesture’ that their delay system didn’t catch in time. NFL is placing the blame on NBC, saying, "There was a failure in NBC's delay system. The obscene gesture in the performance was completely inappropriate, very disappointing, and we apologize to our fans."

CBS was fined $500,000 for Janet Jackson’s nipple baring stunt. There’s no word yet on whether NBC will be fined over this finger.
