Is Adam Lambert the new frontman for Queen?

A British tabloid reported that Adam Lambert would be taking over as the lead singer for Queen this summer, but that hasn’t happened just yet. According to the report, Adam said that he couldn’t replace the former lead singer and he’s not trying to! Queen’s former frontman, Freddie Mercury, died of AIDS complications back in November of ’91, and Adam said during an interview, "The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some great songs. It's to keep the music alive for the fans and give it an energy that Freddie would have been proud of." But Adam later clarified on Twitter that his comments were taken out of context. He tweeted, "Oooh them clever reporters, taking' my quotes outta context. I was actually talking about when I performed at the EMAs. I haven't confirmed any guest appearances. I'm truly flattered by your jump to such glorious conclusions, Mr. Journalist!!" A rep for Queen hasn’t shot down the possibility though. They released a statement saying that nothing has been confirmed or signed just yet.
