Thu, May 17, 2012 So Emma Kelly's school decided to have a bike parade on Friday. My first thought was how is my poor neighbor who takes EK to school for me on Friday mornings going to fit her bike in the back of her car. My second thought was poor Emma Kelly, who's outgrown last years bike -- not too fun to ride when your knees hit the handlebars. She told me about 2 months ago that she wanted to learn to ride a bike with no training wheels, so I went out and bought her a big girl bike.
Sun, May 13, 2012 Propped up in bed watching the series finale of Desperate Housewives, boo-hooing like a baby while my sleeping dog toots silently next to me. I haven't watched this show since season 2, but I still felt the need to be here for the end. I still don't know why the narrator blew her brains out. Can somebody fill me in?
Tue, May 8, 2012 I spent the evening attempting to organize my closet, but it's a bigger mess now than when I started. First, I went to the Dollar Tree to get a bunch of shoe boxes, but they were shaped kinda cutesy weird and when I got then home, none of my size 9s fit into them. Ugh. So I went to good old reliable Target and guess what -- their basic shoe boxes are 97 cents!!

Sun, April 29, 2012 Everything is a mess. I spent this morning with Emma Kelly trying to clean out her drawers and closet. I had her go through each of her 50 or so hair bands and bows, putting the ones she liked in the KEEP basket and the others in the DON'T KEEP basket. At the end of her sorting, there were two in the DON'T KEEP basket. I praised her for getting rid of two -- positive reinforcement, right? -- to which she responded with "I changed my mind!" and threw them both in withe the other KEEPs. Sigh.
Thu, April 26, 2012 Actually, I'm always tardy. It's a huge character flaw. I always think I have more time than I do and I get sidetracked by the most unimportant stuff and end up 15 minutes late for the important stuff. My friends all know -- I'll be 15 minutes late. And it's rude and awful and I'm sorry. I'll try to fix that. Later.
